Senior Resource Mobilization Officer (Partnership) – One (1) Post V/No. 9/2022

The National Research Fund (NRF) is a State Corporation established under section 32 of the Science, Technology and Innovation Act No. 28 of 2013 with the objective to facilitate Research for the advancement of Science, Technology and Innovation.

The Agency seeks to recruit qualified, competent, dynamic, proactive, innovative and highly committed staff to fill the position of Senior Resource Mobilization Officer (Partnership).


Job Specification

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:- 

  • Conducting research on potential donors/partners; 
  • Developing data collection tools; 
  • Preparing project proposals for funding agencies; 
  • Updating donor databases to record their contacts and preference information; 
  • Maintaining a network of donor contacts; 
  • Collecting information, data, market research, and analysis of donor trends; 
  • Sensitizing and training team members on fund raising, communications skills and strategies; 
  • Organizing events for partnership building between implementers and potential partners; 
  • Drafting business plan and writing reports.

Applicant Specification

For appointment to this grade a candidate must have: – 

  • At least four (4) years work experience in Resource Mobilization in public service or private sector; 
  • A Bachelors Degree in any of Scheduled Sciences or in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business Development, Development Studies, International Relations, Public Administration and Business Administration or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution; 
  • A supervisory Course lasting not less than two (2) weeks from a recognized institution; 
  • Be a member of a relevant professional body where applicable; 
  • Proficiency in computer applications; 
  • Demonstrated results in work performance; 
  • Good communication skills, 
  • Demonstrated ability to mobilize resources; 
  • Proposal development skills; 
  • Proficiency in Computer skills; 
  • Meet the provision of Chapter Six of Constitution
