Senior Research Grants Officer – One (1) Post V/No. 10/2022
The National
Research Fund (NRF) is a State Corporation established under section 32 of the
Science, Technology and Innovation Act No. 28 of 2013 with the objective to
facilitate Research for the advancement of Science, Technology and Innovation.
The Agency seeks to
recruit qualified, competent, dynamic, proactive, innovative and highly
committed staff to fill the position of Senior Research Grants Officer.
- Preparing indents for and making grant calls;
- Sorting out the grant proposal for screening;
- Reviewing grant applications;
- Participate in review of policies, regulations and
guidelines relating to award of research grants, bursaries, scholarships;
- Reviewing compliance with the requirements of the
grant award contracts;
- Updating the database on all research funded by the
Fund;
- Developing tools for research grants Monitoring,
Evaluation and Reporting framework;
- Monitoring and evaluating research impact assessment
and developing the reports;
- Developing work plans for the section.
- A Bachelor’s degree in any of the Scheduled sciences;
- Supervisory course not lasting less than two (2)
weeks;
- Four (4) years’ work experience in related duties in
the Public Service or Private Sector;
- Demonstrated results in work performance;
- Proficiency in computer applications;
- Meets the requirements of chapter six of the
Constitution.
