Job summary: Our Client in a bar, restaurant and club Industry is urgently seeking to recruit a Bartender to join their dedicated team in Nairobi.
Job Responsibilities

·         Providing excellent Bar services to ensure satisfaction.
·         Making menu recommendations, answering questions and sharing additional information with restaurant patrons.
·         Present menu and provide detailed information when asked.
·         Inform customers about the day’s specials
·         Offer menu recommendations upon request
·         Deliver checks and collect bill payments
·         make recommendations and answer all related inquiries
·         check identification of customers to verify they are of legal drinking age
·         take orders from serving staff or directly from customers
·         record drink orders accurately into register system
·         prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with standard recipes
·         peel, slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.
·         mix and garnish cocktails according to standard specs
·         serve snacks to customers seated at the bar.
·         respond promptly to requests from customers in a polite and professional fashion.
·         attempt to limit problems related to customers’ excessive drinking by following established procedures.
·         process transactions using the POS system.
Job Requirements
·         Proven work experience as a Bartender
·         Basic math skills
·         Attentiveness and patience for customers
·         Excellent presentation skills
·         Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
·         Active listening and effective communication skills
·         Team spirit
·         Flexibility to work in shifts
·         High school, diploma; food safety training is a plus.

Bar & Restaurant Manager
Salary: 28K
Job Summary: Our client in the hospitality industry is seeking to recruit a Bar and Restaurant manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
·         Responsible for the smooth running of the Bar & Restaurant Department in line with company standards of Procedures, predetermined budgets and all relevant legislation.
·         Training & Development of the Bar & Restaurant Team using relevant techniques and ensuring all training is documented.
·         Employee Relations & Performance Management of the Bar & Restaurant Team with the assistance of the HR Department.
·         To be aware of the day’s business in all Departments within the Hotel.
·         Supervise the activities of all Bar & Restaurant team to ensure all team members are aware of their responsibilities and are performing all duties to a consistently high standard.

·         The Management of all stock levels within the Department in line with Departmental Budgets
·         To work with the Head Chef and Senior Managers on menu planning through monitoring of food sales and introducing new menu ideas.
·         Management of cash handling procedures of department in accordance with company policy.
·         To communicate our services and facilities to guests as required.
·         To be aware and ensure compliance with all company policy’s regarding: Fire, Health & Safety, Hygiene, Food Hygiene, and Customer Care & Security.
·         To read, understand and comply with your responsibilities/Management of your team’s as defined in the Health & Safety Statement and Staff Handbook.
·         Duty Manager shifts as required.
·         Attendance at all Operational Meetings
Requirements
·         Degree/Diploma in Hospitality/Hotel Management
·         3-5 years’ experience as a Bar and Restaurant manager
·         Essential qualifications Hotel experience and knowledge of the Hospitality Industry
·         Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) with good interpersonal skills
·         Strong attention to detail.
·         Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
·         Strong multitasking skills.

Job Title: Assistant Bar Manager in Nairobi (20,000)
Our Client in a bar and restaurant is looking for an assistant bar manager responsible for operation and supervision of the bar and beverage service department.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Bar Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
·         Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
·         Handle guest concerns and react quickly and professionally.
·         To assist in recruiting and training all Outlet Colleagues.
·         Attend regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
·         Maximize revenues by communicating regularly with the Food and Beverage teams to implement agreed upon strategies, practices and promotions.
·         Have full knowledge of all Outlet menus.
·         Assist in managing the departmental budget.
·         Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards.
·         Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
·         Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
·         Previous 2-3 years’ experience as an assistant bar and restaurant manager is required
·         Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required.
·         Degree/Diploma in a related discipline preferred.
·         Excellent communication and organizational skills.
·         Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
·         Highly responsible & reliable.
·         Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
·         Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
