Job Description
Organization Name Corporate Affairs Division Department Description We are pleased to announce the following vacancy in the Corporate Communications Department within the Corporate Affairs Division.   In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.
Reporting to the HoD Corporate Communications
This position is responsible for development and maintenance of a proactive multimedia news content generation strategy. The role is responsible for ensuring effective delivery and publication of well-crafted corporate narrative ensuring Safaricom derives maximum PR value from business and social investments.
The role is also responsible for executing and ensuring high quality and relevant output on external corporate communications, such as Safaricom Newsroom, LinkedIn, Safaricom Telegram, and Safaricom Instagram and Facebook pages.

Responsibilities

·         Take a leading role in developing multimedia news content for syndicating to external media outlets;
·         Advise on best practice, identifying key priorities, balancing stakeholder expectations and needs with resources available to deliver effective multimedia news content strategy;
·         Refine storytelling strategy to ensure the Safaricom story is well amplified and received in public in way that adds to the Net Promoter Score for the business;
·         Work with internal teams to produce communication that sets the right tone for the company;
·         Work towards building a positive company image with all external audiences and externally via channels such as LinkedIn, Newsroom, Telegram;
·         Manage communication for all external facing communication platforms- generating content for Safaricom Newsroom, LinkedIn, Safaricom Telegram, and Safaricom Instagram and Facebook pages and all other channels as may be appropriate;
·         Identify and influence external stakeholders and clients on strategic messaging;
·         Analyze communication effectiveness and revise the appropriately planned communication strategies;
·         Pro-actively provide communication program results to the business and make use of metrics to inform further communication projects; Formulate various policies and procedures connecting to communications objectives under external platforms;
·         Produce programs, documentaries films and audio/video products and Undertake regular training and in-house communication courses for executive leadership.

Requirements

·         Bachelor’s degree in Communication or related field, Political Science, Public Administration, Law and other social sciences; Master’s Degree preferred;
·         Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in relevant disciplines;
·         Success in Content Generation and Management;
·         Editorial Knowledge in publishing and news generation;
·         Working knowledge of MS Office and

·         Excellent people management skills.
·         As part of the interview process external candidates should prepare the following documentation which will be required at a later stage based on your performance in the interviews/assessments.
·         An updated CV with contacts of three referees, 2 who must be professional and must have supervised you at some point, the other referee can be a colleague in the same professional field.
·         Kenyan Certificate of Good Conduct (Less than 1 year old) or a receipt of the same from the CID pending release of the hardcopy document.
·         Clearance certificate from a reputable Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
·         University Degree Certificate/ Letter of completion from University in case you have not received your degree certificate. e) National ID/Passport

Territory Account Executive
We are pleased to announce the following vacancy in the SME and Enterprise Regional Operations Department within the Enterprise Business Unit Division.
In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.
Brief Description            
Reporting to the Regional Manager -SME and Enterprise Regional Operations the position holder  will meet overall NPS, revenue and acquisition targets for the assigned territory and work with Safaricom Business Partners to retain, develop, manage and expand the customer base and grow revenues.

Responsibilities

·         Development of plans to achieve set billed revenue targets in the territory;
·         Increase product and Business solutions penetration through cross sell to named accounts, in assigned territory
·         Ensure revenue growth by growing ARPA in the accounts through up sell
·         Achieve the set NPS targets for the Accounts in the territory
·         Ensure achievement of set churn targets for assigned accounts
·         Develop strong relationships with customers at CxO to maintain ongoing revenue stream
·         Ensure all accounts are managed through well thought out Account Development Plans
·         Monitor and supervise partner sales teams’ to achieve their assigned targets and ensure they have healthy sales pipelines to achieve the revenue targets;
·         Performance review with assigned Partner sales teams within the assigned territory and documentation of the same;
·         Maintain timely and 100% accurate territory reports on Partner sales teams review, competitor intelligence, Sales performance and all information relevant to the assigned territory;

Requirements

·         Honors degree in Business Administration/Bachelor of Commerce degree from a recognized university;
·         Must have 3 years’ experience in managing dealers or an indirect channel preferably in FMCG;
·         Experience in managing indirect channel in a telecoms environment is an added advantage;
·         Strong business Acumen;
·         Team player with pleasant outgoing personality & resilience
·         Good communication and interpersonal skills
·         Proactive, confident, energetic & with ability to work under pressure.
