Vacant Position: Product Development Specialist – VAS
Region: Nairobi
Reporting to: Head of Product & Services Development
Band: 3.0

Role Purpose: The VAS Manager is responsible for developing and managing the Telkom Value Added Services portfolio based on market requirements and technology capabilities.

The role will be responsible for achieving annual revenue and product performance targets and ensuring that Telkom has and a competitive edge in the VAS domain.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
·         To develop, maintain and control specifications for Telkom VAS and messaging product portfolio taking customer concerns, business processes, organisational, cost and vendor product limitations into account.Evaluates and resolves technical feasibility and design optimization
·         Development of win-win partnerships within the VAS porttfolio for Telkom through development of E2E onboarding, contracting & revenue sharing processes.
·         Ensure a seamless Customer exeprience on all VAS services by working closelty with internal and external stakeholders
·         Engagement with VAS partners to createa Smart VAS roadmap for Telkom and followup to ensure all products are developed and launched within scpe, budgets and timelines
·         Alignment of products and services offering to ensure optimal profitability while remaining competitive in the market
·         Monetization of the VAS business within Telkom.
·         Ensure product and services offerings are aligned to increase the customer experience, acquisition and retention for all departments
·         Ensure all VAS products are managed through the existing Time To Market processes.
·         External stakeholders management such as regulators, MNOs andContent partners.
Academic / Professional Qualifications
·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field
·         At least 2-3 years in telecommunication/ VAS product development
·         Experience working with VAS partners, Content developers and aggregators is an added advantage.

Vacant Position: Revenue Planning & Insights Manager

Role Purpose: To ensure development, maintenance and reporting of the relevant company wide and marketing departmental performance measurements in order to provide guidance and relevant information for decision making across the company on a tactical level.
The reporting provided includes local and international market intelligence, the mapping of the geo footprint of the company and business KPI, objectives and intelligence.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
·         To monitor, measure and support the development of marketing campaigns through the mining of customer data, modeling of proposals and recommendation of solutions.
·         Provide Marketing input intothe Budgeting process
·         Influence marketing campaigns through providing relevant marketing and company data
·         Oversee the monitoring and measurement of marketing campaigns as well as customer life cycle management initiatives
·         Mine the relevant company and marketing data, develop models and provide insight for decision making and solution development
·         Manage special projects on behalf of the department as well as represent the department for companywide projects
·         Maintain up-to-date benchmarks and comparative analysis of our products & services vs. competition.
·         Manage the collection, consolidation, mapping and sharing of relevant field and geo data such as traffic, revenues, market potential, technical and distribution networks, communication etc.
·         Execute and provide insight in terms of the feedback received from the marketing research to guide the decision making
·         Ensure the compliance to processes and procedures of the department and audit the compliance
Academic / Professional Qualifications
·         Bachelor’s degree in IT, Statistics or Business related field
·         At least 6-8 years in Business Intelligence, Project management
·         Unique skills: GSM Product development, Projects Business Intelligence
