Project Engineer

The Davis & Shirtliff Group is the leading supplier of Water and Energy solutions in the region. The Group is Kenyan based and operates through a network of Kenyan branches as well as regional subsidiaries in Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Rwanda, South Sudan and DRC. The company has a total complement of over 600 highly trained and professional staff spread across the region and seeks to fill the position of Project Engineer.

Roles & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will report to the Projects Department Manager and will have the following qualifications and abilities:
·      Bachelor’s engineering or quantity surveying degree with a minimum Upper second Class.
·      Post graduate qualifications in Projects Management from a recognised institution.
·      Minimum five years’ work experience, three of which must be in a consulting firm with responsibility for project acquisition, implementation, supervision or management.
·      A proven record in tender preparation, bills of quantities, costs analysis, risk value management and project valuation.
·      Experience using project management software will be an added advantage.

Water Treatment Engineers

The successful candidate will report to the Department Manager and will have the following qualifications and abilities:
·      Bachelor’s engineering degree with a minimum Upper Second Class.
·      2-4 years’ experience in Water and/or Waste Water Treatment Projects.
·      Project management skills.
·      Design and sell complete range Water and /or Waste Treatment solutions.
·      Make proposals and pitch for sales.
·      Provide technical support as required within the region.
·      Execute Water Treatment projects.

We are looking for qualified and talented young accounting professionals to fill the position of Accounts Intern.
This is a three month internship programme that provides a challenging and stimulating work environment with excellent growth opportunities. Candidates who are successful in this programme stand a chance to be deployed within the company’s business units on permanent basis.

Roles & Responsibilities

The main tasks during the internship period are: –
·      General ledger maintenance and analysis.
·      Cash office operations.
·      Bank reconciliation and cash book management.
·      Job costing.
·      Management accounts preparation

Role Specifications: –

·      Graduate in a relevant discipline from a recognised university.
·      Minimum Upper Second Class Hons Degree.
·      Fully Qualified CPA(K) or ACCA.

Software Development Assistant

The company has a total complement of over 700 highly trained and professional staff spread across the region and seeks an energetic person to fill the role of Software Development Assistant in the Business Systems Team based at the Nairobi Head Office.
Key Responsibilities
The Software Development Assistant will be charged with the following responsibilities:
·      Development, documentation, implementation and maintenance of the Customer Relationship Management system on Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
·      Perform routine end-user support, Systems roll out and training on key business systems including Intranet on SharePoint Online, Power BI Analytics and Business Intelligence System, E-learning Management System on Moodle, Mobile Apps Development on Microsoft Power Apps and a Help Desk System.
·      ICT Systems research to provide creative and innovative solutions.
·      Perform any other ICT related tasks as may be directed by management from time to time.

Requirements

The successful candidates will have the following attributes:
·      Minimum 2 years’ experience in Dynamics CRM development and implementation in a busy environment.
·      Diploma or an Upper 2nd class honours degree in Computer Science or closely related field from a recognized institution and aged not more than 35 years.
·      Knowledge of various fourth generation programming languages, preferably C/AL, .NET, C++, C#, PHP and JavaScript for android and JME for Symbian OS.
·      Have relevant certifications in the above listed technologies.
·      Knowledge of database environments preferably Microsoft SQL Server and My SQL.
