global and local institutional investors, individual high net-worth investors,
and diaspora investors interested in the East-African region.
Our financial services investments in
Sub-Saharan Africa are made through our Cytonn Financial Services Fund (CFSF)
through which we are the 6th largest shareholder in NIC Bank in Kenya.
Investments in education and hospitality are made through Cytonn Education
Services and Cytonn Hospitality, respectively.
Directly reporting to the Risk and
Compliance Associate, the analyst is responsible for developing and monitoring
risk and compliance initiatives for Cytonn Investments group.
Responsibilities
·
Formulate and implement the Risk and
Compliance framework and Policies;
·
Support the risk management process
through periodic independent reviews of the risk management practices and
procedures.
·
Effectively assess and measure all
material risks in accordance with Cytonn’s adopted approaches;
·
Ensure the effective management of
Cytonn’s material risks through adequate process controls and ensuring
adherence thereto as well as implementing specific action plans to manage the
risk causal factors;
·
Ensure that appropriate and/or
adequate controls are in place at all times to effectively manage Cytonn’s
risks to within acceptable risk appetite;
·
Ensure the effective management of
risk through the prudent allocation of risk capital that is consistent with the
approved measurement approach;
·
Develop robust key risk indicators to
serve as early warning indicators of increased risk, with appropriate risk
threshold levels to provide a sound platform for the effective monitoring of
risk exposures;
·
Ensure that all breaches and overdue
remedial actions are within Cytonn’s risk tolerance levels. Inculcate the right
risk culture across the firm by ensuring appropriate accountability for risks
at first line of defence level through training, awareness, escalation and
reporting;
·
Support the Risk and Compliance
Manager with the effective implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management
(ERM) Framework to be able to establish an effective risk-based system to
identify, measure, monitor, control and report Cytonn-wide risks;
·
Conduct awareness programmes on
enterprise risk management;
·
Perform any other duties as assigned
from time to time.
Requirements
·
A Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative
business discipline (Finance, Economics etc) or engineering discipline from a
recognized university with a minimum of second class upper honours
·
A minimum of B+ in KCSE
·
At least 1 year professional experience
in risk management
·
A professional qualification or
certification in risk management is preferred
·
Membership to a relevant professional
body will be an added advantage
·
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
programs and other risk management system skills;
·
Excellent oral and written
communication skills
·
Strong numeracy, analytical, strategy
and research skills
·
Excellent planning, organizational
and problem-solving skills
·
Ability to explain complex issues and

risks for Cytonn Group.
Responsibilities

Proactively identify all material
operational risks across the organization and at each business unit level as
per Cytonn’s approved risk identification methodology.
·
Effectively assess and measure all
material risks in accordance with Cytonn’s adopted approaches;
·
Ensure the effective management of
Cytonn’s material risks through adequate process controls and ensure adherence
thereto as well as implement specific action plans to manage the risk causal
factors;

Ensure that appropriate and/or
adequate controls are in place at all times to effectively manage Cytonn’s

Ensure the effective management of

Effectively monitor significant
operational risk exposures as well as material losses and escalate the same to
senior management for information and/or action;

Develop robust key risk indicators to
serve as early warning indicators of increased risk, with appropriate risk
threshold levels to provide a sound platform for the effective monitoring of
risk exposures;
·
Review all reports from
internal/external audit, rating agencies and other assessing agents and ensure
that identified risks are monitored and adequately managed;
·
Provide Business Continuity
Management (BCM) oversight by monitoring to ensure that the Cytonn’s business
continuity capability is compliant with applicable guidelines and to perform
all such other BCM related tasks as may be assigned by the Risk and Compliance
Manager;
·
Ensure that Cytonn’s Risk Management
Framework (guidelines, policies and procedures) is effective, current, and
complies with best practice.
·
Ensure the effective implementation
of Cytonn’s risk tools (risk register, key risk indicators, risk and control
self-assessments, etc.) through training, awareness and frequent monitoring;
·
Prepare timely, comprehensive and
reliable risk reports to senior management and board on a monthly and quarterly
basis;
·
Attend Cytonn meetings, both internal
and external from time to time as may be requested by the Risk and Compliance Manager;
·
Undertaking all such other roles and
responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time
Requirements

We are looking for a dynamic,
talented and highly motivated person to fill the position of Stores &
Warehouse Associate -Zurit. The successful candidate will be responsible for
various warehouse functions including the receiving, storing, handling,
shipping and preparing of product for customer delivery while maintaining the
warehouse in a safe and orderly manner. This position will report to the
Stores, Warehousing & Logistics Manager.
Responsibilities

Ensuring store operational
requirements are met by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on
work results.

Organizing all inventory per
established warehouse layout.
·
Optimizing on store staff
productivity, recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
·
Maintaining store staff job results
by coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and
appraising job results

In conjunction with Finance team,
developing and tracking financial objectives by preparing annual budget,
scheduling expenditures, analysing variances and initiating corrective actions
·
Identifying current and future
customer requirements.
·
Being a store customer service
champion and ensuring all customer issues are sorted out promptly as per
company service delivery promise.

Being responsible of store sales
targets, expenditures and profitability
·
Managing inventory, facilitate stock
take and variance analysis.

Requirements
