Dispatch Officer

Our client is a principal supplier of tried, tested and trusted
brands in animal health and crop farming sectors, all developed with the key
objectives of increasing production and productivity on the farms. The quality

Our client would like to fill the position of a Dispatch Officer
who will be reporting to the Warehouse Manager.
The jobholder is mandated with order pick, dispatch record, goods with the associated documentation & equipment.

Duties
·
Ensuring that SBP Orders agree before
forwarding to operators for picking
·
Confirm that all items have been
picked and picking lists given back for shipment
·
Ensure proper documentation by
filing, retention and traceability of dispatch documents.
·
Manage housekeeping in the warehouse
by ensuring the good housekeeping practices philosophy is followed and adhered
to.
·
Coordinate all the related warehouse
activities e.g. picking, assembly/marshalling
·
Ensure that picked items have been
properly sealed and correctly labelled and all of them have been loaded in the
dispatch vehicles.
·
Prepare documentation for dispatch
i.e.
consignment notes and ensure that all of them have been assigned correctly

Keeping a record of specific job
allocation to the picking teams for ease of reference and follow up on errors
from customers.
·
Preparation of the dispatch reports
keying in what has been dispatched
Key Outputs
·
Accurately pick goods as per delivery
note and take to loading bay within 30 mins.
·
Receipt of original D/Notes from the
customers within 48hours.
·
Timely loading of goods for dispatch
to customers.
·
Nil stock variances
·
Weekly/Monthly reports and action to
be or taken.
·
100% GMP, FEFO and FIFO compliance.
Dispatch Officer Job Requirements
·
A Diploma in Stores and
Distribution Management is highly desirable.
·
Valid material handling equipment
licence. i.e. forklift and or stacker
·
Valid driving license BCE
·
A minimum of a Degree or higher
diploma is usually required.
·
A combination of related training and
considerable experience may be considered an equivalent.
·
At least 3 years work experience in
warehousing.
