Introduction: The
KCCB - General Secretariat is the National Administrative, facilitative and
Coordinative arm through which the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops
implements and co-ordinates various Pastoral programs at the National level and
undertakes all those responsibilities which express the mission of the Catholic
Church in Kenya.
HR & Administration Assistant
- Commission for Education and Religious Education – DREAMS
Stationed in Bondo, with
oversight over Homabay and Migori Counties offices.
Key Responsibilities

- Support DREAMS
staff through interpretation of the Human Resource Policies
and regulations so as to promote a conducive working environment
- Offer HR
support to DREAMS staff.
- Implement
staff welfare activities for motivation
- Maintain of HR
records for all ( FMP Facilitators , Mentors , Interns and all temporal
staff)
- Implement
Performance Management in liaison with the supervisors and Head of Human
Resources – KCCB
- Follow up
service providers to ensure their services meet required standards (Food,
Medical, e.t.c)
- Supervise
cleaning, security and maintenance of offices.
- Ensure that
the electricity, water supply and sanitation systems are regularly
inspected for efficiency and safety and meet the required standard
- Keep all
program staff updated with information on upcoming events ( Central
calendar of events )
- Offer support
services to the office and coordinate purchasing and delivery of office
stationery, equipment and other requirements.
- Facilitate
staff work schedule and work closely with the Accountant to ensure that
the out of pocket and field allowance payments are is in line with the
work schedule.
- Conflict
handling and ensuring right decisions are made without biasness and lead
employees well through the conflict discussions with the parties concerned
and leaving both parties satisfied
- Recruit,
select, place and induct new staff members into the organization,
and follow up contractual details and procedures ( For mentors , and other
temporally staff
- Performs
related work as required and carries out any other essential tasks related
to the DREAMS KCCB goals that may reasonably be assigned
Qualifications
- Diploma in
Human Resource Management - HRM, Degree in relevant area will be an added
advantage
- Member of
professional body (IHRM)
- Three years
hands on experience in HR management

Data Clerks - Commission
for Education and Religious Education – DREAMS
Stationed in Bondo, Homabay
and Migori Counties.

- Maintain
database by entering new updated information and a database of all
interventions from the field
- Maintaining
data entry requirements by following data program techniques and
procedures.
- Verifies
entered data by reviewing, correcting, deleting or re-entering data,
combining data and purging files to eliminate duplication of data.
- Secure
information by completing database backups.
- To maintain
operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
- Assist the
M&E Assistant to ensure regular, complete, accurate, timely and
quality monitoring reports from field staff in designated areas on all
required indicators;
- Work with
Field Staff to ensure timely data collection and reporting,
- Assist to
basic analysis of data and provide timely feedback to the M&E
team for decision making;
- Assist and
participate in DQA with the M&E team
- Assist and
participate in targeted mentorship and supportive supervision on
documentation and reporting
- Participate to
any other documentation process of project activities.
- Generate
reports weekly/monthly reports
- Uphold the values
of KCCB at all times
- Maintains
confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
- Carry out any
other duty as may be appropriately assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
- Diploma
Information Technology or any other related qualifications.
- Experience in
Data Management in the Ministry of Health and health care settings will be
an added advantage.
- Computer
skills.

Project Officers - Commission
for Education and Religious Education – DREAMS
Stationed in Bondo, Migori
and Homa Bay Counties.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the
DREAMS Initiative program activities targeting adolescent girls and boys,
parents/caregivers and community members within the assigned Wards
- Work closely
with the Program Administrator and the Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)
team, train and conduct supportive supervision and spot checks while
overseeing performance of a team comprising MLRC teachers, FMP
facilitators, SASA Change Agents and Mentors
- Provide
overall oversight supervision of day to day program planning, budgeting,
implementation and reporting achievements in consultation with the Program
Manager, Technical Program Coordinator and aligned to the approved
intervention targets
- Develop and
maintain strong collaborative working relationships with County relevant
GOK Ministries, CSO’s and other relevant local stakeholders within the
areas of operation.
- Develop clear
monthly work plans based on approved quarterly project work plans with
clear objectives/deliverables based on targets
- Support in
training, coaching and coordinating regular review meetings with
intervention specific facilitators, Change Agents and Mentors while
tracking progress against annual targets, and addressing issues raised in
the field.
- Working with
the Mentors and enumerators/community interviewers, support in the
enrollment and screening of DREAMS girls; offer information, basic
counselling and psychosocial support to adolescents and their
families and support linkage to bio-medical and economic services
- Working
closely with the M&E team, provide oversight in data quality audits,
daily update of services and prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly Ward
level reports based on intervention gap analysis
- Coordinate
Ward level activity-based weekly budgeting and forecasting; in
collaboration with the Project Manager and Technical Coordinator, review
all activity plans and collate all field based reports for timely
submission
- Participate in
trainings, supervision visits, weekly and all project planning and review
meetings while maintaining accurate reports to inform next steps
- Ensure
compliance and adherence with the Catholic Social Teachings
Qualifications: A
Diploma in Social work, Community Development or Counselling Psychology, a
Degree in a relevant course from a reputable University will be an added advantage.
Experience:
Experience:
- At least two
years of progressive experience working in a comprehensive HIV or GBV
prevention interventions among adolescents and OVC programing.
- Community-level
HIV programming experience is a MUST.
