About
the company: Our client, a registered private lending company in Nairobi,
Kenya is looking for a Senior
Accountant. The company was established in 2006.
The
candidate should have experience in credit control.
Responsibilities
- Keeping
accurate track of loan disbursements and payments
- Keeping
up-to-date details of all client transactions and loan statements
- Follow
up of loan repayments and taking action on defaulters
- Observing
loan repayment trends and sharing with the business development team
- Staying
up-to-date with market and industry trends
- Ensure
income received is properly accounted for and transactions are correctly
captured
- Ensure
expenditure incurred is properly authorized
- Manage
procedures in place to provide for a sound internal control system
- Ensure
all assets are secured and used for the purposes of the Company
- Ensure
financial information is timely, comprehensible, relevant, and reliable
- Coordinate
the external audit in a timely and effective manner
Requirements
- Finance
and Accounting qualifications
- At
least 4 years relevant experience
- At
least CPA (K)
- Bachelors
of Commerce Degree
- People
management skills
- Objective
mind
- Keen
attention to detail
- Numerical skills
