Emergency Aid – Nairobi Office seeks to recruit a suitable candidate to fill
the following position:
Project
Coordinator Somalia
Reporting to the Head of Mission Somalia
- Timely
review of monthly financial and narrative reports for projects from
partners, and in collaboration with the CD and, if applicable, the peer
team members, recommend approval or disapproval of monthly financial and
narrative reports from local partners to the HoM or, in case of the absence
of the HoM, to HQ
- In
collaboration with the CD and the team, develop and maintain an cloud
based assessment tool and, if applicable, translate assessment
questionnaires into forms based on VBA for mobile use in the field
- In
collaboration with the CD, support project proposals (narrative and
budget) submitted by partners accordingly to DKH-Somalia’s internal
division of labour, mandate, strategic plan, donor requirements,
consistency and style
- Monitor
progress of projects towards achievements out outcomes and outputs
measured through agreed performance indicators implemented by partners in
compliance with logical framework agreements, work plans and cash flow
plans and review, if applicable
- In
collaboration with the CD, participate in capacity assessments of
potential new partner organisations with the focus on the quality of
financial management, administration management, human resource
management, logistics management and other support sector management
tasks, as well as programme sector tasks in collaboration with peers and
the CD in the DKH-SOM programme
Professional Requirements
- University
degree (BA, MA or MBA) in economy or management or other relevant subject
from a reputable university
- Strong
background in finance management: 3 years’ experience in finance
management with an international NGO
- Strong
background in Project Cycle Management, especially in learning, monitoring
& evaluation
- Good
writing skills, good analytical and critical thinking, elaborate
communication skills
- Experience
in working with regulations from CHF and the ACT Alliance is a strong
advantage
- Previous
exposure to Cash Programming and mobile digital assessment methods is also
a strong advantage
