Main
Focus: Finance
and Administration
Areas
of responsibilities:
- Overall
management of office petty cash
- Preparing
internal and external payments for staff and suppliers
- Preparing
monthly balance sheet reconciliation with the guidance of Finance Officer
- Preparing
monthly bank reconciliation-FS main bank account and project bank accounts
- Preparing
payment vouchers & journal for all Forum Syd accounting transactions
- Assist
in Quarterly financial reporting to donor on project outcome
- Monitoring
and reporting on staff advances on a monthly basis
- Assist
Finance Officer in carrying out audits-both Project & Institutional
audits
- Daily
posting of financial transactions is Forum Syd accounting system (Agresso)
Administration
- Assist
in maintaining an updated fixed asset register for all office assets and
the ones transferred to partners for project implementation
- Coordinate
procurement of office goods and services in line with Forum syd
procurement policy & procedures
- Coordinate
issuance of air ticket and use of contracted taxi services by staff
- Ensure
recovery mileage used by Forum Syd vehicles
- Other
general admin duties in the office.
Duty Station: Nairobi-Kenya

Kindly
note this is a non-remunerated position, local position. Forum Syd will cover
all costs related to the intern’s work assignments and other logistic costs
within this role.
The
duration of the internship will be six (6) Months.
