Monitoring and Evaluation Programme Officer-

Trust is seeking to recruit a dynamic and result oriented individual for the
position of Monitoring and Evaluation Programme officer.
A key
part of this role involves facilitating efficient research, learning,
monitoring and evaluation of Uraia’s programmes.
The key responsibilities of this position will include:
- Improve
and implement the monitoring and evaluation framework in consultation with
Uraia Senior Management Team and provide support in day to day management
of the Uraia monitoring and evaluation framework.
- Undertake
and/ or participate in research necessary to ensure the undertaking of
evidence led interventions by Uraia.
- Ensure
the innovative and effective use of information technology in support of
Uraia’s monitoring and evaluation activities.
- Provide
support in development of work plans, programming and budget review for
programme activities.
- Undertake
the learning, monitoring and evaluation activities of Uraia in liaison
with the Institutional Transformation Manager
- Provide
support in implementation of capacity building initiatives of Uraia’s
programmes.
- Manage
all monitoring data and information, and facilitate analysis of the same
for use in programming.
- Any
other duty as may be assigned by the Institutional Transformation Manager.
Person Specifications:
The
ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- Minimum
of a Bachelors degree in Social or Development Studies
- Additional
training and qualifications in undertaking MERL of development programmes
will be an added advantage.
- Minimum
of 5 years’ experience in programme implementation with a specific focus
in monitoring, evaluation, research and learning is essential.
- Demonstrated
work experience in democracy and governance sector will be desirable.
The engagement for this position will be for an initial contract
of two years that is renewable subject to satisfactory performance and
availability of funding.

Vacancy: Gender Programme Manager - Uraia Trust
Uraia
Trust is seeking to recruit a dynamic and result oriented individual for the
position of Gender Programme Manager on a fixed term consultancy engagement for
a period of 18 months.
Under
the guidance and direct supervision of the Head of Programmes, and in close
coordination with the Executive Director, the jobholder shall provide effective
and efficient coordination of the Beyond Quotas Women Leadership Programme
through a range of actions contributing to the design, planning, management and
monitoring of programme activities in line with the Uraia work plan.
The key responsibilities of this position will include:
- Provide
leadership and ensure sound management of the programme from the planning
to evaluation stages.
- Coordinate
and ensure the timely and efficient delivery of programme outputs and
products leading to the achievement of expected results.
- Ensure
synergy with other related initiatives both at the national and county
levels.
- Facilitate
smooth coordination of activities of the programme’s implementing
partners.
- Monitor
and continuously update implementation plan to ensure timely
implementation of the programme activities versus set targets and
indicators.
- Coordinate
the efficient use of financial resources of the programme, expenditure
tracking and progress reporting.
- Lead
and coordinate the organization of meetings, workshops, conferences and related
activities relevant to the overall implementation of the programme.
- Ensure
provision of high quality information and visibility of the programme
activities to the media and timely exchange of information with
stakeholders within the programme and outside.
- Ensure
timely and proper documentation of the programme implementation process
and products produced.
- Document
and analyze lessons learnt and advice on strategies and approaches for
promoting women leadership on the lessons learnt.
- Facilitate
partnership building among civil society organizations, women
organizations, political parties, other national public networks on the
implementation of the programme and advocacy of Beyond Quotas
- Ensure
effective networking and coordination with other ongoing URAIA projects
for a more holistic and coherent approach to programme implementation.
- Any
other duty as may be assigned by Head of Programmes.
Person Specifications:
The
ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- A
minimum Bachelors degree in Social Sciences or Development studies from a
reputable institution.
- Minimum
of 6 years’ overall experience in programme implementation and management
with a specific focus in monitoring, evaluation, research and learning
- At
least 3 years’ experience in managing and implementing gender governance
programmes is essential.
- Experience
in resource mobilization, communication and financial management skills
will be added advantage.
The engagement for this position will be for a period of 18
months.
