Job Title: Operations / Branch Manager - Mombasa

Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer

Scope: Trading division of Electricals

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify business growth opportunities and implement action plans for the achievement of such plans
  • Provide leadership and guidance to all staff working under him to meet company goals
  • Review and implement business plan for the Branch
  • Constantly review market conditions on competition, threats, opportunities and submit suggestions of improvement
  • Ensure effective stock management and stock control systems are fully implemented
  • Advise on the requirements of the Branch for inclusion in monthly overseas purchases
  • Motivate, develop and ensure optimal productivity of staff and monitoring performance through the performance management system in place.
  • Ensure accounts are maintained up to date in the system and timely submission of the monthly accounts.
  • Ensure first class customer service, driven through people, ICT and continuous service innovation.
  • Provide leadership and ensure a high performance culture for all staff through continuous performance management, quality training, mentorship and capacity building.
  • Safeguard and maintain company assets
  • Any other duty assigned to you from time to time.

Key Performance Indicators
  • Achievement of all budgeted financial targets including turnover, profitability, working capital  parameters, stock days, and growth targets.
  • Adherence/achievement  operational plans
  • Oversees management of cash flow
  • Adherence to Staff training and development.
  • Level of employee satisfaction and acceptable levels of staff turnover through  people management
  • Adherence to a customer visit plan
  • Monthly physical stock status
  • Tender submission report
  • Collection report in liaison with branch Accountant
  • Daily delivery report
  • Monthly random  stock check and variance analysis report with corrective action

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Business acumen skills
  • Computer literate
  • Upholds high levels of integrity
  • Qualifications and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or business related
  • 7 years' experience in managing branch operations of a trading division
