1. Research
Officer
A
Pharmacist (with BPharm) is needed to join the Health Services Unit of the
KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Programme to support the work of an emerging
‘Clinical Information Network’ spanning multiple hospitals in Kenya.
The
successful applicant will join a team of clinicians, epidemiologists and
information technologists and facilitate running the ‘Clinical Information
Network’ while being supported to develop their own research linked to the
network ideally in one of the areas: epidemiological analysis, health
informatics or quality of care.
2. Medical
Officer
A Medical
Officer (with MBChB) or Specialist Medical Officer (with MMed in Paediatrics)
is needed to join the Health Services Unit of the KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research
Programme to support the work of an emerging ‘Clinical Information Network’
spanning multiple hospitals in Kenya.
The
successful applicant will join a team of clinicians, epidemiologists and
information technologists and facilitate running the ‘Clinical Information
Network’ while being supported to develop their own research linked to the
network ideally in one of the areas: epidemiological analysis, health
informatics or quality of care.
The work of
the ‘Clinical Information Network’ on paediatric / newborn care is being
undertaken together with the Ministry of Health, County Hospitals and the Kenya
Paediatric Association and is led by Prof. Mike English (KWTRP and Oxford) in
collaboration with Dr. Grace Irimu (University of Nairobi) and with the support
of multiple collaborators internationally.
