Sales Executive Job Vacancy in Kenya

As Sales Executive you are principally responsible for bringing sales for all our products such as Warehousing, Local Distribution, Air Freight, Sea Freight and Road Transportation business.

Job Description:

  • Develop new business to increase market share and generate revenue growth and higher profits for the Company. This shall include seeking out potential customers, preparing business and marketing plans and submitting viable proposals to secure new business.
  • Actively pursue growth opportunities, by developing new clients and maintaining good relationship with existing clients
  • Deliver agreed revenue and share objectives on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis; achieve monthly KPI’s
  • Drive new business growth across all facets of the business in line with the sales targets/budgets set by the Sales Manager
  • Continuously promote sales activities personally, by developing and concentrating on new key accounts and developing business with existing accounts
  • Keep abreast of industry developments and competitors’ activities and implement new business and sales strategies to stay ahead of the competition
  • Ensures accurate compilation and reporting of operational and financial information about the customers
  • Achieve a balanced portfolio of business that maximizes operational efficiency and reduces risk all in accordance to the allocation of targets set by the Sales Manager
  • Prepare sales plans and reports
  • Conduct customer presentations and details sales/project proposals
  • Constant communication with new customers, customer support and the freight management departments about relevant company policies, departmental expectations and customer expectations
  • Ensure all customer visits, opportunities and any other customer information are updated with the requirements and expectations
  • Any other duties assigned to you from time to time.

Job Requirements:

The suitable candidate will possess:
  • 3-6 years of applicable business development / sales experience providing solutions in Tradewinds Logistic Freight Forwarding company
  • Ability to understand clients' Freight Forwarding challenges and structure effective solution
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Valid Certificate of good conduct.
  • Experience in Freight Forwarding / Shipping Sales with proven track records
  • Possess experience in Freight Forwarding operations and management with good knowledge in shipping documents and custom procedures
  • Able to provide quote to customers promptly
  • Good understanding on market trend and demand
  • Computer literate
