Credit Controller Job in Nairobi Kenya

Position: Credit Controller
 
Location: Nairobi

Our client, a successful supplier of office furniture and equipment and rated among the 100 most successful SMEs in Kenya is looking for a Credit Controller. 

The ideal candidate should have wide knowledge in Credit Management and experience in debt collection preferably having dealt with government institutions or parastatals

Key Responsibilities

  • Collecting all outstanding payments
  • Allocating payments in accordance with customer remittances
  • Processing and generating reminder letters and monthly statements
  • Liaising with the sales and accounts receivable teams
  • Ensuring that debtor  and cash targets are met
  • Preparing daily and monthly reports and account reconciliations
  • Investigating and resolving queries relating to nonpayment of invoices
  • Ensuring V.A.T returns, N.S.S.F, N.H.I.F and P.A.Y.E are filed before due date
  • Verifying and reconciling petty cash claims to ensure correct usage, accountability and accurate reimbursements
Qualification and Experience
  • CPA holders
  • Minimum of  2 years working experience in debt collection preferably in government institutions or parastatals
  • Knowledge in Credit Management
  • Working experience in accounting packages such as Sage, Pastel, SAP, Tally and QuickBooks
  • Independent and self motivated individuals
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Customer Service and Salesmanship skills
