The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) Somalia is an International Non-Governmental Organization registered in Kenya and operating in Somalia.

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Programs Officer

Location: Nairobi with frequent visits to Somalia.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and update external communication material including project reports, annual reports and brochures.
  • Develop project briefs and update the project profiles.
  • Provide support in organizing workshops, seminars and training in the field.
  • Edit project reports and other documents.
  • Develop a summary of the annual program portfolio.
  • Support in development of promotional materials, donor visibility, case studies and interest stories.
  • Assist in finalization and dispatch of concepts papers and proposals.
Qualifications/Experience:
  • Bachelor Degree in Public Relations or Communication.
  • Minimum of 2 years in general program development and implementation.
  • Must have a strong data collection or collation skills.
  • Strong knowledge in data processing, analysis, interpretation and report writing skills.
  • Good understanding of computerized systems and processes.
  • Strong statistical analysis skills of both qualitative and quantitative data.

Location: Galmudug

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain data on key indicators for all target schools.
  • Ensure regular updating of data and tools for data collection.
  • Inspect school registers for target schools.
  • Prepare M&E reports quarterly and report to project Coordinator on performance based on identified milestones.
Qualifications/Experience:
  • Bachelor Degree in Education.
  • Post graduate Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation.
  • Minimum of 5 years demonstrated progressive experience in project monitoring and evaluation, planning and management with an international NGO.
  • Knowledge of current trends in monitoring and evaluation.
  • Good understanding of computerized systems and processes.
  • Strong statistical analysis skills of both qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Previous working experience with EC and DFID funded projects will be an added advantage.
  • Willingness to live in South Central Somalia.
