seeking to recruit a focused, self driven Procurement professional of high
integrity.
Position: Head of Procurement - Service Industry
Reports to the Group Chief Executive OfficerPosition: Head of Procurement - Service Industry
Responsibilities
- Develop
& implement procurement strategies, procedures and policies
- Forecast
procurement needs
- Continually
develop expertise to support growth for new projects.
- Build
and develop relationships with key suppliers and customers.
- Lead
and manage the procurement group in all phases
- Responsible
for planning, developing and buying materials, parts, supplies and
equipments in a timely and cost effective way while maintaining
appropriate quality standards and specifications
- Responsible
for identification of suppliers through supplier vetting and negotiating
and documenting agreements with suppliers
- Develop
and maintain computerized procurement systems
- Develop
& implement cost containment programs to reduce cost of materials and
services.
- Responsible
for departmental budgeting, implementation and monitoring.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelors
degree in related field from a recognized institution (A master’s degree
in relevant field is an added advantage)
- Minimum
of a diploma in purchasing & supplies management from a recognized
institution.
- Must
have 5 years credible experience in a busy procurement environment.
- Excellent
computer skills
- Good
interpersonal skills
- High
integrity
- Member
of a professional body
- Having
some exposure in the cleaning industry is an added advantage
