Accountant II: Grade TR 9

Duties and responsibilities
- This
is a middle grade management position reporting to the Chief Accountant.
- An
officer at this level will be responsible for performing a variety of
accounting work of limited scope and specifically work will involve
preparation and verification of vouchers, primary data entry, and routine
accounting work such as balancing of cashbooks, imprest and advances
ledgers, safe custody of records and assets under him/her.
Minimum requirement
For appointment to this grade a candidate must:
i) Be in a possession of a pass in CPA Part II or its recognized equivalent qualification
or

or
- Bachelor’s
degree in commerce (accounting or Finance option), or Business
Administration degree (Accounting option) from a recognized institution or
any other relevant equivalent qualifications from a recognized
institution.

proficient in computer applications
- Be
a team player with good analytical and interpersonal skills and;
- A
person of good integrity committed to producing results.

This is an entry grade into Drivers cadre. Duties and responsibilities at this level will involve:
- Driving
a motor vehicle as authorized
- Carrying
out routine checks on the vehicle, cooling, oil, electrical and
- brake
system, tyre pressure etc.
- Detecting
and reporting malfunctioning of vehicles systems.
- Maintenance
of work tickets for vehicles assigned
- Ensuring
security and safety for the vehicle on and off the road
- Safety
of the passengers and or goods therein.
- Maintaining
cleanliness of the vehicle
Minimum requirement

- Have
a KCSE mean grade of D + (plus) or its approved equivalent qualification.
- Have
a valid driving license free from any current endorsement (s) Class (BCE)
of vehicle (s) an officers is required to drive.
- Have
attended a First Aid Certificate course lasting not less than one week at
St. John Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highway and building technology
or any other recognized institution.
- Have
passed suitability test for Driver Grade III
- Have
passed a practical test for drivers.
- Have
at least two (2) years driving experience
- Be
a team player and have good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Those
trained at National Youth Service will have an added advantage.
