Sales and Logistics Manager
Since incorporation, our client has built a wealth of knowledge
and expertise in the transport and shipping industry within the East and
Central African region.
The Company is a member of the Kenya International Freight &
Warehousing Association (an affiliate of FIATA) and a host of other industry
associations and aim to become leaders in the provision of logistics and
shipping services within the East Africa Region.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Responsible
for achieving sales targets and growth
- Ensuring
high customer satisfaction through conducting market place intelligence
and research
- Participating
in identifying corporate sales planning and strategies
- Identify
and enlarge Targeted Customer Base and Industry
- Promote
service offering to customers and prospects by conducting sales calls and
visits. Prepare and conduct corporate presentations and sales meeting
- Develop
pricing and business models based on customer needs
- Preparation
and submission of proposals to prospective clients
- Respond
and follow-up on customers’ enquiries and requests
- Provide
timely and accurate information on industry or customers’ intelligence to
enhance overall company strategy
- Collate
and submit sales reports and analysis to the General Manager
- Develop
strong customer relationships through regular visits or timely response to
their queries
- Ensure
timely and accurate invoicing
- Responsible
for debt collections and bad debts resolution while implementing the
credit policy
- Discharge
all account management responsibilities
- Any
other duties as and when assigned by the General Manager
Person Specifications:
- Degree
in Sales/Marketing/Business Administration or similar field from a
recognized university
- 4-5
years sales experience in a logistics/operations environment; 2 of which
are in Managerial roles.
- Excellent
leadership and management skills as well as analytical skills
- Good
understanding of logistics concepts
- Good
presentation and communication skills (written/verbal)
- Commercially
astute (in order to understand the commercial implications)
- Customer-focused
(in order to meet the needs of each customer)
