Project Period: 12TH November 2012 – 31st October 2016 (4 years) – Start date to be confirmed.
Purpose of the role
The Technical Lead will be expected to contribute to the development of the work plan, provision of technical guidance on key elements of the project assigned to Marie Stopes International(MSI) and to coordinate with both MSI and the Partner teams to ensure quality implementation of project activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the
MSI full time (100%) representative to the consortium and is responsible
for MSI deliverables to the partnership.
- Provide
leadership and technical oversight for the CCS & PT initiative.
- Lead
the design, development, integration, and implementation of quality CCS
& PT service delivery strategies within the context of MSI.
- Lead
and oversee the quality of technical assistance, innovation,
standardization, integration, and knowledge exchange between the
Partnership and MSI with regards to CCS & PT and its integration with
the broader RH/FP.
- Maintain
and apply state-of-the art technical knowledge and provide training and
capacity building including skills development and institutionalizing the
transfer of learning to MSI/MSK, member private providers and MSK local implementing
partners.
- Prepare
reviews, training materials, and participate actively in all project
meetings as required.
- To lead
and co-ordinate the project in order to ensure the success of the project
according to the envisaged outputs and in close collaboration with the
stakeholders
- To lead
and co-ordinate the project team and its activities in close coordination
with all implementation partners;
- To
liaise with the representatives of all relevant institutions
- Work
closely with the donors and keeping to strict project budgets and planned
project activities by monitoring project expenditure through regular book
keeping.
- Ensure
timely provision of project reports and/or documentation according to the
reporting requirements as stipulated, coordinating project progress
through monthly, quarterly and annual reports: periodic evaluation
interventions reports and project financial reports.
- Establish
an internal monitoring system for the follow-up of the project objectives,
administrative tasks, use of resources and book keeping. and ensure
permanent progress monitoring,
- Ensure
project planning, development and implementation systems are in place and
functioning effectively.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s
degree in public health, nursing, social sciences, or a related advanced
degree relevant to the fields of FP/RH (both theory and practice).
- A
minimum of 3 years experience in Cervical Cancer screening and treatment
technical management or leadership at the country or global project level.
- Experience
in developing training materials and facilitating training and capacity
building.
- Proven
abilities in working with multiple sectors and stakeholders to achieve
programmatic and financial results in FP/RH.
- Demonstrated
technical management, supervision and leadership experience, especially
related to team building and mentoring a diverse and multicultural staff
- Excellent
written and spoken communication skills in English.
- Ability
to travel extensively as required.
- Excellent
IT skills.

Working Hours: 8.00 am – 5.00 p.m. (Monday to Friday)
Type of Contract: Short Term -12th November 2012-4th March 2013
Job Objective:
The Administration Assistant/Receptionist role is to perform a wide range of administrative, clerical and office support activities for the Support Office and team members to facilitate the efficient operation of the organisation. Additionally manage the front office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide
logistical support to Country Directors office.
- Receive
calls and direct them appropriately.
- Receive
visitors at the Front Office and direct them appropriately.
- Raise
internal requests for stationery, groceries, cutlery and other office
supplies.
- Issue
stationery to staff as per their requests.
- Receive
letters and maintain records of the same.
- Schedule
orientation and introduction for new staff in liaison with the Human
Resources Department.
- Assist
with filing both HR & Admin documents.
- Processing
of Staff IDs.
- Scanning,
printing and photocopying of documents on request from team members.
- Prepare
monthly stationery consumption reports.
- Dispatch
and receive pouches/ parcels to and from field offices in liaison with
Logistics while maintaining records of the same.
- Maintain
records of common telephone lines usage – PERSONAL / OFFICIAL
- Update
and maintain all internal directories including extensions / mobile
numbers / field office numbers / head office numbers / Emergency contacts
- Schedule
and coordinate meetings, appointments and travel arrangements for Country
Management Team and other team members when the need arises.
- Coordinate
maintenance of the office equipment in liaison with the HR department.
- Ensure
that the Support Office cleanliness is maintained by supervising the work
of the Care Assistants in liaison with the HR department.
- Organize
for tea, lunch or any other refreshments during meetings, functions and
events as may be directed.

Minimum Qualifications

- Degree

least two years experience of progressively responsible clerical and
administrative work in a busy organisation.
