In order to ensure effective delivery of the Human Resources mandate to the
business, EAPCC is seeking to recruit a highly driven, organized, dynamic and
strong team player to fill the position of Human
Resources (HR) Planning and Development Manager.The company’s products have been used ¡n projects such as housing, education, health, tourism, transport and communication, as well as hydro-electric power projects across the country.
Reporting to the Head of Human Resources and Administration, the HR Planning and Development Manager will ensure efficient planning of the HR functions to enable EAPCC deliver on set business objectives.
S/He will be responsible for planning, organizing, leading and managing the learning and development function in the organization.
Key roles and responsibilities
- In
liaison with the Head of Human Resources and Administration develop staff
attraction and retention strategies;
- Manage
and coordinate performance and productivity systems to reward staff, while
ensuring that EAPPC attracts and retains the best talent;
- Ensure
periodic reviews of terms and conditions of service and remuneration in
conformity with prevailing market needs;
- Provide
leadership in management of change processes within the organization;
- Manage
and enhance HR standard operating procedures;
- Ensure
that manpower needs for all departments are met;
- Prepare
and manage the learning and development budget for the organization;
- Plan
and coordinate the on-boarding process including induction of new
employees; and
- Identify
training needs and ensure the development, implementation and monitoring
of appropriate learning and development programs in the organization.
Skills and attributes:
- A
Bachelors degree in a business related field from a recognized
institution. An MBA will be an added advantage;
- At
least six (6) years working experience with at least three (3) years in a
similar position in a reputable organisation;
- Experience
in the manufacturing industry will be an added advantage; and
- Excellent
communication, interpersonal, facilitation, and negotiating skills with
the ability to encourage and motivate others.
