Position Scope
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Affairs, the successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the company’s corporate image among all its publics and providing timely communication on events and issues.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Affairs, the successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the company’s corporate image among all its publics and providing timely communication on events and issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring
effective implementation of Communication Plans
- Providing
timely information to the media and other stakeholders
- Editorial
development of KTDA communication materials, including content for
internal and external publications.
- Co-ordinating
the production of quality in-house journals and newsletters, and corporate
branding materials
- Managing
information on the organization’s websites and social media platforms
- Managing
stakeholder relations and co-ordinating public relations activities for
the organization
- Managing
and publicizing corporate events and exhibitions
- Monitoring
and analyzing media coverage
- Preparing
budgets and ensuring proper controls
Qualifications /Competencies/ Experience
The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications, experience and competencies: -

- Bachelors
Degree in Communication, Journalism or any other related field.
- Diploma
in mass communication.
- A
Masters degree will be an added advantage.
- Five
(5) years experience in Journalism, Corporate Communication or Public
Relations, with at least 3 years at the management level , preferably in a
busy multi-media environment
- Excellent
journalistic writing and editing skills
- Demonstrated
ability to develop editorial content for corporate communication and web
publishing.
- Experience
in managing social media platforms
- Good
knowledge of photography and videography
- Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability
to work under pressure and meet deadlines
