Position: Business Development Manager - Mombasa Branch
Purpose
An exciting and challenging position has arisen within our Mombasa office for an innovative and energetic marketing professional to lead the Mombasa team in meeting sales targets.
The main purpose is to build the Mombasa portfolio by acquiring profitable group and retail business through brokers. This calls for establishing sustainable relationships with brokers and clients alike.
The position reports to the Chief Executive Officer.
The main responsibilities of the job include but is not limited to the following:

- Providing
leadership to the region.
- Establishing
a working and sustainable relationships with brokers and brokerages.
- Providing
competitive quotations to brokers and clients.
- Providing
product training to brokers.
- Doing
marketing presentations to brokers and clients
- Recommending
commission levels and incentives for brokers.
- Market
research with regards to corporate and retail products.
- Participation
in product development.
- Ensuring
that production targets are met.
- Promoting
the company brand.
- Selection, recruitment,
training and management of broker Consultants.
- Profit
management of the region.
Requirements:
The incumbent must possess the following educational background, experience, qualities and skills:

- BCom/Marketing
degree
- Professional
qualifications or progress towards attainment of one.
- At
least 5 years management experience in a life insurance environment.
- Demonstrated
success in business generation.
- Good
written and oral communication.
- Strong
presentation skills.
- Relationship
building.
- Good
management skills.
