Credit Bank Branch Manager, Operations Manager and Credit Officers Jobs in Kenya

Credit Bank (CB) is an established commercial bank and is rapidly growing its branches so as to grow the network.

As a testimony to the commitment to our growth strategy, CB scooped second position in customer satisfaction in the recent banking awards.

To support this growth strategy, we are looking for dynamic, proactive professionals with strong credentials and relevant work experience to fill the following positions:

1. Branch Manager 
Ref: HRBM/01/11

Reporting to the Head of Retail Banking, the incumbent will be responsible for achievement of business targets and effective management of branch operations within the bank’s regulatory framework, policies and risk guidelines.

Main Duties:

  • Business planning and growth (deposits and lending) as well as customer growth and retention
  • Management information reporting and integrity
  • Profit improvement and cost management
  • Quality of service in branch service delivery
  • Minimization of exposures to and impact of operational risks inherent in branch service delivery
  • Leadership which translates into conducive work environment and employee satisfaction at the branch
  • Branch structure and application of established policies, processes, procedures and tools in achieving compliance requirements, optimal efficiency, resource utilization and cost containment
Minimum qualification and experience required:
  1. Minimum B Plain or equivalent
  2. University Degree — Upper second or equivalent
  3. Proficiency in computer use including MS Office tools and banking systems
  4. At least 7 years banking experience 2 of which should be in Branch Management, Sales or Relationship Management position
2. Branch Operations Manager 
Ref: HRBOM/02/11

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for running effective branch operations leading to provision of excellent customer service, profitability and business growth.

Main Duties:
  • Oversee and implement the Bank strategy at the branch level
  • Oversee customer service delivery, maintenance and improvement of retail banking service standards
  • Central operations - clearing, payments, cash management and reconciliation
  • Facilitate effective relationship management for external and internal customers
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and policy requirements with regards to banking environment
  • Ensure and oversee that the information in the banking core system is accurate and up to date
Minimum qualification and experience required:
  • Minimum B Plain or equivalent
  • University Degree — Upper second or equivalent
  • Proficiency in computer use including MS Office tools and banking systems
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years working experience with solid knowledge of Bank Operations
  • A team player with ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Must be flexible in availability and mobility to perform required job functions
3. Credit Officers 
Ref: HRCO/03/11

The Credit Officer through teamwork will effectively handle credit function operations in order to ensure a profitable line of business and a quality loan book.

Key Duties
  • Undertake credit appraisal to vet all credit proposals from all branches
  • Credit risk analysis generation and evaluation in accordance to the CB credit policy
  • Evaluation of customer needs and activities of the competition in liaison with the marketing department and the branches with regard to Credit Bank Limited
  • Work hand in hand with CB business team to source for new business
  • Manage customer and stakeholder relations in accordance with agreed SLAs
  • Branch support and inspection / verification of credit and internal lending policies and procedures
Minimum qualification and experience required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business/finance related field
  • Proven experience in credit policy understanding and implementation
  • Proven experience in lending and customer care to create a balance between credit risk and customer service
  • At least three (3) years experience in a credit function of a financial institution
  • Excellent interpersonal, organization and people management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with outstanding reporting skills
