Finance Manager Job in Kenya – 9 Month Contract

Job Description 

Position title: Finance Manager (Insurance Industry)

Status: Temporary (approximately 9 months)

Reporting to: Managing Director/Existing full time Finance Manager

Division: Finance Department

Positions reporting to Job holder: Chief Accountant

Job Summary

The overall responsibility will provide leadership in the formulation and implementation of financial management plans and leadership to the finance section.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities 

• Oversee implementation of the financial management systems
• Ensure integrity in financial reporting
• Oversee the preparation of the financial statements
• Continuous implementation of financial audit and controls
• Oversee preparation of budgets, financial plans and timely management reporting
• Regulatory risk management responsibilities
• Provide leadership to the accounts function
• Prepare monthly performance presentations for board reporting
• Provide continuous guidance on finance matters to other departments
• Ensure achievement of the finance scorecard and Key Performance indicators

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Finance
• Qualified CPA K or ACCA
• At least 6 years experience in a senior position
