Human Resources /Administration Manager

International Center for AIDS Care and Treatment Programs (ICAP) - Kenya of Columbia University is working in partnership with the Ministries of Health of Kenya to provide HIV Care and Treatment services at provincial, district hospital and health centre facilities.

This program is part of an US Government initiative against HIV in Kenya that receives funding from PEPFAR through the Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention (CDC).

Applications are invited for the position of Human Resources/Administration Manager. The position is based in Nairobi with travel within the country.

The selected candidate will oversee Human Resources and Administrative activities and oversee smooth running of the country office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiate and participate in the recruitment of staff at all levels;
  • Planning, coordinating and implementing human resources and administration policies, strategies, systems and processes aligned to the mission and objectives of the organization;
  • Employee relations management with the objective of upholding high employee morale, increased productivity and enhancing organizational effectiveness;
  • Delivery of identified Training and Development initiatives
  • Design, implement and manage the Performance Management Framework and Reward Structure for the organization including benefit administration;
  • Ensure effective administration of office support services, security services and insurance services;
  • Interpret labour laws and ensure compliance.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Administrationand a Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management.
  • 7 years experience in human resource management in progressively responsible roles, with sound crossfunctional experience.
  • Good working knowledge of the current Kenya Employment Law and practices;
  • Experience in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures and projects;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications, coaching and organizational skills, with a track record of driving change and innovation.
  • Strong problem solving skills with strong business skills and strategic acumen, organizational diagnostic skills, analytical skills and excellent team-building skills
Office Administrator - Kisumu

This program is part of an US Government initiative against HIV in Kenya that receives funding from PEPFAR through the Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention (CDC).

Applications are invited for the position of Administrator. The position is based in Kisumu.

The role includes assisting with Human Resources and Administrative activities and overseeing the smooth running of the regional office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in Human Resource activities.
  • Manage and supervise all administration activities.
  • Assist in procurement and logistics management.
  • Oversee travel, accommodation and transport arrangements.
  • Assist with any other duties assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Administration/Social Sciences or Human Resources / Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position as an administrator / human resources assistant.
  • Strong written and verbal skills
