International Medical Corps (IMC) is a global humanitarian nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life through health care interventions and related activities that build local capacity in hard to reach areas. International Medical Corps currently implements projects in various districts in Kenya.
IMC is seeking candidates to fill the following positions:-
Program Manager, Prisons Program – Nairobi – Eastern Province
Position Description
·         Development and strengthening of program systems to ensure provision of high quality and accessible HIV prevention, care and treatment services in assigned provinces as well as support expansion to neighboring provinces
·         Coordinate implementation of programs activities including facility assessment and development, training, clinical care, mentoring health service providers, counseling and education, community follow-up, commodity management, and monitoring and evaluation;
·         Capacity building staff of the Kenya prisons services personnel to plan, manage and evaluate program activities
·         Developing and maintaining good relations including representation with Kenya Prisons services, DMOH, PMO/PASCO and HIV/AIDS prevention and care partners in the target province(s);
·         Clinical mentoring and training MOH staff in partnership with DHMTs and other partners;
·         Provide guidance, mentorship and continuing medical education to the health service providers on HIV prevention, care and treatment.
·         Ensure that the projects are implemented in line with the national polices and guidelines.
·         Compile the required program reports and submit them to the national level.
·         Advice the national level on gaps, opportunities and in service provision
Qualifications
·         Diploma in Clinical medicine preferably specialized in pediatrics and duly registered with the Kenya clinical officers Board
·         At least 4 years of prior experience working with MOH or health sector NGO in Kenya
·         Training and experience in PMTCT, PWP, PITC, TB/HIV Palliative Care, ART. Being a trainer of trainers [TOT] is an added advantage
·         Applicant must be fluent in English and Kiswahili
·         Applicant must be proficient in computer skill
·         Be a team player with high interpersonal and leadership skills.
·         Previous work with Kenya prisons service will be an added advantage
Nutritionist (4 Positions) – Tana River and Tana Delta
Position Description
·         Day to day running of high impact nutrition interventions in collaboration with the ministry of Medical services and ministry of public health and sanitation
·         Conduct On the job training in IMAM and IYCF for health care providers at in health facilities
·         Ensure proper maintenance of records at the facility level
·         Ensure Community Health Workers are trained on the job to offer nutrition interventions
·         Maintain professional working relationships with partners and stakeholders
·         Ensure timely reporting at by health facility in charges on all high impact Nutrition interventions
Qualifications
·         A diploma in Nutrition or its equivalent
·         Registered with the Nutritionist/Dietician Board or nursing board
·         At least 2 years experience in emergency nutrition projects in hardship areas
·         Strong negotiation and presentation skills
·         Experience in Health/Nutrition Surveillance, report writing, Monitoring and Evaluation
·         Fluency in local language an added advantage
Data Entry Clerk – TB Reach Program, Mombasa
·         Responsible for in put of all data generated from TB REACH program in Coast Province;
·         Assist M&E Director in formulation of data entry screen using data based software;
·         Assist in the coding of survey forms from the field;
·         Assist with the survey data entry cleaning;
·         Entry to TB Summary data into relevant data screens;
·         Maintains and regularly updates databases using appropriate software;
·         Provides output of reports, tables and graphs and share with District Coordinators;
·         Participate in data compilation and report preparation;
Qualifications:-
·         Diploma in Information Technology;
·         Experience in health records information is an added advantage;
·         Computer skills including familiarity with MS Excel & MS Access.
Logistics Assistant – Nairobi
Position Description
·         Preparation of procurement documents;
·         Verify deliveries against orders;
·         Dispatch to end users in time;
·         Update warehouse documents and prepare reports;
·         Support field offices with procurement.
Qualifications:-
·         Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies Management;
·         University Degree is an added advantage;
·         Conversant with MS Office;
·         Attention to detail.
