The main responsibilities will include:
·         Preparing for monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements;
·         Preparation of monthly staff payrolls, cash flows, Trials Balance, Bank Reconciliation, Statutory deductions and tax returns;
·         Assist in donor grant and project management;
·         maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register;
·         Ensuring adherence to appropriate accounting systems;
·         Ensuring timely preparation of financial statements and accounts;
·         Maintaining the Vote Book;
·         Preparing Financial Management Accounts and Statutory Reports.
Qualifications
·         Bachelors degree in Commerce, ( Finance/Accounting) or business administration
·         CPA II
·         Minimum three (3) years relevant experience in accounting.
Competence
·         Working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRs)
·         High degree of Integrity, Confidentially and dependability
·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
·         Presentation skills
·         Practical experience in use of a accounting software packages

The internal auditor will be reporting to the Head of Internal Audit. The overall purpose of the position is to add value to KESI’s operations by carrying out independent, systematic and objective appraisal of the effectiveness of the Institute’s policies, system, processes and practices.
The duties and responsibilities of the post entail:
·         Preparation and implementation of the annual internal audit plan.
·         Assuring the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance thereto.
·         Evaluating and advising on the corporate governance and risk management processes.
·         Carrying out investigation as appropriate
·         Preparing periodic audit reports and recommendations.
·         Following up on implementation of both internal audit recommendations
Qualifications
·         Bachelors degree in Commerce, ( Finance/Accounting) or business administration
·         CPA II
·         Minimum three (3) years relevant experience in audit.
Competence
·         Working knowledge of International Standards of Audit (ISAs) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRs)
·         High degree of Integrity, Confidentially and dependability
·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
·         Presentation skills
·         Practical experience in use of a accounting software packages
·         Working knowledge of computer aided audit techniques.
Chief Human Resource Officer
(Job Group ‘N’)
Gross salary Kshs.69,075/=
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible to the Deputy Director Finance and Administration for:-
·         Handling of all human resource management matters within established policies, rules and regulations
·         Matters of target setting and appraisals in the Institute
·         Keeping unto date personnel records in the Institute
·         Preparing training proposal for the personnel for improved service delivery
·         Drawing up HRM plans for basic supply and demand forecast
·         Preparing of leave rooster of support staff
·         Preparing of annual staff reports
·         Classifying of letters
·         Any other duties assigned by the Deputy Director Finance and Administration.
Requirement for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have
·         Served as a Senior Human resource Officer for a minimum period (3) years
·         A Bachelor degree in Social Science and part 1 of CPS (K) or Diploma in Human Resource Management, Management /Human Resource Management or Industrial Relations from a recognized University/Institutions.
·         Shown merit and ability as reflected in work results.
