Expression of Interest: Information Communication Technology (ICT) Strategy Consultancy
Kenya Forest Service (KFS) is a State Corporation established by the Forest Act 2005, to provide for the establishment, development and sustainable management, including conservation and rational utilisation of forest resources for the socioeconomic development of the country.
The Service is undergoing institutional reforms that will enable it fulfill its mandate.
Part of these reforms include development of an ICT (Information Communication Technology) Strategy to support
accelerated organizational development.

Effective use of ICT allows organizations to operate more efficiently and underpins their long term sustainability. For ICT to serve KFS better there is need to align institutional ICT requirements by developing conceptual enterprise architecture.
Interested bidders should provide information in their EOI indicating their suitability to perform the assignment by show of relevant documentary evidence of past similar accomplishments. The details of relevant references must also be given.
Other eligibility requirements include:-


1.     Detailed individual or company profile.
2.     Copies of PIN, VAT Reg., Cert. of Incorporation/Reg., tax clearance certificate.
3.     Audited accounts for the last two years (2008 and 2009).
4.     Names and CVs of key staffs, other staffs and their qualifications.
5.     E-government programme awareness and prescription of how KFS can implement its provisions.
6.     Physical address and Telephone contacts.

The documents should be placed in the tender box situated on Ground floor reception area of KFS, Headquarters Karura off Kiambu Road so as to be received on or before 01.07.2010 at 12.00 noon.
Interests submitted later than the indicated closing date and time shall automatically be disqualified. Interests Opening will take place immediately on the same date in the same building in the Main Boardroom. Tenderers or their representatives who wish to attend are invited to witness the opening.
Kenya Forest Service reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the tenders either in whole or in part and is not bound to give reasons thereof.
