Position: Group Chef, Kula Korner Restaurant Franchise

Responsibility:
 

Responsible for Kula Korner in Hurlingham, Kakamega, Narok, Nakuru & Outside Catering Kitchen. (1 Position)

Kula Korner Restaurant franchise has multiple outlets and a substantial banqueting operation. The incumbent will be responsible for developing menus, ensuring quality food preparation and presentation, budgeting & menu analysis as well as training the local employees and must have a successful track record in people & kitchen management.
  • Responsible for all day to day kitchen operations of any one of the outlets ensuring high standards of food and


    beverage production;
  • Responsible for menu planning, food costing and purchasing;
  • Maintaining proper food handling and food storage procedures;
  • Staff management and training;
  • Equipment maintenance.
  • Overall responsibility for the Kula Korner Kitchen brand standards.
Requirements: 
  • Diploma in Food Production.
  • At least ten (10) years experience in catering.
  • Training in food and restaurant management.

Position:
 Head Chef Kula Korner Nakuru
(1 Position)

Responsibility:
 

The Head Chef will Plan direct and supervise the food preparation and cooking and serving activities of Kula Korner Nakuru.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ala carte cooking
  • Training of kitchen staff
  • Directing food production
  • Manage food cost
  • Checking quantity and quality of delivered supplies
  • Coordinating planning, budgeting and purchasing for all food operations at the institute
  • Investigate and report on all customer complaints.
  • Carry out any other assignments as may be assigned by the supervisor
The Head Chef Must be able to demonstrate:
  • Possession of diploma in food production
  • At least 6 years catering experience in a busy environment
  • Excellent inter personal and communication skills
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Must be a team player
  • In depth knowledge of culinary arts including cooking. Baking and food presentation.
  • General knowledge of business management principles, strategic planning and resource allocation.
  • A thorough knowledge and practice of Health & Hygiene Principles.
