Data Entry Assistant: The Japan Center for Conflict Prevention (JCCP) Jobs in Kenya

JCCP is a Non-Governmental Organisation established in 1999 in Japan. JCCP’s mission is to contribute to global peace and security by building human capacity for conflict prevention and peace-building.

JCCP specialises in capacity building of NGOs and civil society, community security, experts’ training in peacekeeping operations, peace-building for civilian, police and military, education and livelihood support.

JCCP has 4 sub-offices worldwide; Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Balkan and Kenya.

Currently JCCP Representative Office
 in Kenya is initiating a project in Somalia for community safety. In this regard, the organisation is seeking a prospective candidate to be responsible for the following duties:

Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Representative of JCCP Kenya, the duties and responsibilities of the data Entry Assistant will be as follows:
  • To input the data sent from Somalia into the certain format
  • To contact to Somali partners when required; and
  • To perform other duties as directed by the representative.
Education/Experiences
  • Fluency in spoken and written Somali and English;
  • Good command of computer applications, Microsoft Office Excel in particular;
  • Self motivated and ability to maintain necessary outputs; and
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with supervisors, colleagues and partners.
