Reporting to the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration and Finance), the ideal
candidate must possess:
Qualifications
- PhD in Accounting or Finance;
- CPA (K) and
- Five (5) years’ experience in grade 14 or
equivalent
- Setting Trends in Higher Education,
Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship
OR
- Master’s degree Accounting or Finance;
- CPA (K) and
- Seven (7) years’ experience in grade 14
- Applicants who have acted as Finance
Officer, Grade 15 for at least six months will have an added advantage
In addition, all applicants must:
- Be conversant with accounting, auditing,
financial and management reporting
- Have attended management training(s) on
leadership and strategic management
- Be knowledgeable and experienced in
working with computerized accounting packages
- Have wide experience in the management
and processes of Institutions of higher learning
- Demonstrated leadership qualities
- Be conversant with the requirements of
Kenyan Constitution, National Laws and Policies governing University
education
- Be of the highest ethical standards,
integrity and professionalism
- Be a member of a relevant Professional
Body
