Finance Officer Job in Kenya

REF: JKU/ADM/FO/04/2024

Reporting to the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration and Finance), the ideal candidate must possess:

Qualifications

  • PhD in Accounting or Finance;
  • CPA (K) and
  • Five (5) years’ experience in grade 14 or equivalent
  •  Setting Trends in Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship

OR

  • Master’s degree Accounting or Finance;
  • CPA (K) and
  • Seven (7) years’ experience in grade 14
  • Applicants who have acted as Finance Officer, Grade 15 for at least six months will have an added advantage

In addition, all applicants must:


  • Be conversant with accounting, auditing, financial and management reporting
  • Have attended management training(s) on leadership and strategic management
  • Be knowledgeable and experienced in working with computerized accounting packages
  • Have wide experience in the management and processes of Institutions of higher learning
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities
  • Be conversant with the requirements of Kenyan Constitution, National Laws and Policies governing University education
  • Be of the highest ethical standards, integrity and professionalism
  • Be a member of a relevant Professional Body
