GRADE KW8 (3 POSTS)

Job Description
The Supply Chain Management Assistant, KW8 reports to the Senior Supply Chain Management Officer, KW5.

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

Assisting in undertaking market surveys to ensure the Commission obtains value for money;

Participating in the opening quotations;

Assisting in maintaining and update a list of prequalified suppliers;

Liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services;

Ensuring safe custody of all procurements records.

Job Specification
For appointment to this scale, a candidate must meet the following requirements:


Diploma in Procurement & Supplies Management, Business Administration, or other relevant field from a recognized institution;

Member of professional body either KISM or CIPS; and

Proficiency in Computer applications;

Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution.

In addition to the above indicated requirements, applicants will be required to meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya on Leadership and Integrity.
The following clearances will be required from successful candidates upon offer of job and not at the application stage.

Certificate of Good Conduct;

Clearance from the Ethics and Anti – Corruption Commission;

Certificate of Compliance from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB);

Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) Tax Compliance Clearance; and

Certificate of Clearance from the Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
