Assistant Registrar (Performance Contract & Quality Management System) – Grade 12
Qualifications
Applicant should meet the following
requirements:
- Must have a Master’s degree in a
relevant field and must have served as a Senior Administrative Assistant I
Grade 11 or equivalent for at least three (3) years.
- Member of a recognized
professional administration or management body.
- Ph.D. degree will be an added
advantage.
OR
- A Bachelor’s degree with twelve
(12) years’ experience three (3) of which must be at the level of a Senior
Administrative Assistant I Grade 11 or its equivalent.
- Member of a recognized
professional administration or management body.
- Must be computer literate.
Key Responsibilities;
- Collect annual departmental
performance targets for the upcoming year so as to aid in development of
the University wide performance targets.
- Develop an annual draft of the
University wide performance targets inform of a manual for onward
transmission of the same to the government for approval.
- Participate in the negotiation
process with the Ministry of Education and office of the President every
year so as to present the University wide performance targets and
deliberate on approval of the targets.
- Ensure proper dissemination of
the reviewed and approved performance targets to the various departments
every year so as to act as a guide in development of strategies to achieve
targets.
- Develop a guideline on key
indicators to guide in monitoring and evaluation of departments in line
with their set targets.
- Oversee the continuous monitoring
and quarterly evaluation of departments in line with their approved
targets so as to measure conformity to the targets as well as offer
recommendations to resolve any deviations.
- Develop the schedule for
reporting on performance contracting by departments as well as oversee
adherence to the same so as to facilitate the development of quarterly
University wide reports for onward transmission to the State Department in
charge of Performance Contract.
- Review and implement the MksU ISO
Manual and the Standard.
- Oversee adherence to the
prescribed internal and external audit.
