Qualifications
& Skills
· Degree
in Chemical Engineering or a suitable equivalent from an accredited university
· Supervisory
work experience of at least 4 years in a manufacturing or production set-up
· Demonstrable
ability to lead a team and provide adequate guidance
· Decisive,
Excellent communicator
· Good
working knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation
· Team
player with a positive attitude towards work and colleagues
· Positive
Attitude and ability to work in fluid and dynamic environments
Duties & Responsibilities
· Training
and motivation of staff in the Factory
· Coordinates
production activities by ensuring the shift set targets are met
· Play an
active part in plant continuous improvement plans
· Organizes
machine cleaning and maintenance of highest level of housekeeping standards
putting in place KAIZEN concepts and principles
· Ensure
shift production records are properly maintained and preparation of production
reports
· Does
shift production planning and ensures proper execution of the same
· Enforces
health, safety and environmental rules and regulations in line with the company
policy and ensure employees work safely and prevention of damage to property
and equipment
· Maintenance
of discipline and order as per laid down Disciplinary procedure
· Manages
production performance by checking the overall equipment efficiency against the
production output
· Works
closely with shift operation
· Plans
for machine maintenance and takes active part in autonomous and preventive
maintenance
· Research,
development and trials for new products
· Ensures
product quality as per the laid down quality standards
· Data
capturing, and entry into the system for the generation of various production
reports for
management information system
· Conduct
data analysis to come up with trends of performance in production and material
usage
