narrative. We are looking for three highly
creative, dynamic Communications Officers to join our progressive communications
team and boost our advocacy agenda.
Our client, Tax Justice Network Africa (TJNA)is a pan-African organisation and member of the Global Alliance for Tax Justice. We advocate for pro-poor taxation systems and the strengthening of tax regimes to promote domestic resource mobilisation. TJNA aims to challenge harmful tax policies and practices that favour the wealthy and those that aggravate and perpetuate inequality.Through policy influencing, it enables citizens and institutions to seek fair tax systems.
Location:Flexible, with frequent travel to Nairobi,
Kenya office and some related work assignments

Start Date:Immediately
Contract Duration: Two
years, renewable
Contract Basis: All
roles are full – time. Part–Time basis option available for Digital
and Multimedia Support role.
About the Communications
Officer roles
We are seeking three incredibly talented, skilled and self-driven
individuals to fill our Communications Officers positions in the following
communications roles:
- Communications Officer (Content and Media Relations): Write
and disseminate TJNA publicity material, build and maintain relationships
with leading media.
- Communications Officer (Digital
and Multimedia): Develop, propose and
implement plans to build engagement, visibility and following across
TJNA’s digital channels.
- Communications
Officer (Stakeholder Engagement & Outreach): Drive and develop creative ideas for
strategic stakeholder engagement to advance wider tax justice outreach
including event management and marketing communications.
Each Communications Officer plays a key role in the implementation
and success of TJNA’s communications strategy, advancing TJNA’s visibility and advocacy agenda. As a Communications Officer, you will work
collaboratively across TJNA’s departments, with member organizations and
relevant stakeholders in support of our advocacy objectives as outlined in our
2021 – 2025 Strategic Plan.

Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s
degree required; graduate-level training and/or degree(s) in
Communications, Media, Creative Arts or Journalism. Postgraduate courses
and/or Masters is an added advantage.
