Job Summary
The post holders will ensure safe

Responsibilities:

Transport or wheel patients to
appropriate areas within the hospital and/ or its subsidiaries.
·
Adhere to all hospital rules,
regulations and standards.
·
Work together with nurses to assist
with ambulating, turning and positioning of patients.
·
Maintain a high degree of
confidentiality regarding patient files and conditions.
·
Provide direct assistance to the
nursing department.
·
Ensure that the assigned are
thoroughly cleaned to meet the expected standards.
·
Provide patients with food, beverages
and any other forms of nourishment as required.
·
Help with making of patient beds.
·
Run errands for the department and
deliver messages accurately and promptly.
·
Perform any other duties that may be
assigned Charge Nurse or Unit Manager.
Qualifications:
·
KCSE Mean Score of C- Minus and
above.
·
Diploma in Social Work &
Community Development, Public Health, Community Health of Environmental Health.
·
At least 2 (two) years of relevant
work experience in a healthcare environment/ facility.
Theatre Attendants
Job Summary
The post holders will ensure safe

Cleaning operating rooms after each
procedure;

Assisting with lifting, moving and
transporting patients
·
Enhancing operating room turnovers;
·
Setting up the surgical rooms for
procedures by moving the surgical bed and other equipment into the necessary
configuration prior to surgery;

Restocking departmental supplies;
·
Performing daily terminal cleaning of
operating rooms & areas within the department;
·
Assisting with delivering &
returning supplies, sending clinical labs to the lab;
·
Obtaining blood products from the
blood bank and following direction from licensed personnel to enhance patient
care;
·
Restraining and supporting patient
during procedures;
·
Transporting laboratory specimens,
laboratory supplies and materials, patient related supplies and materials,
equipment, and procedure trays.
·
Replenishing bed linen and sanitary
supplies.
·
Assume other activities and
responsibilities from time to time as directed.
Qualifications:
·
KCSE Mean Score of C- Minus.
·
Diploma in Public Health, Community
Health or Environmental Health.
·
At least 2 (two) years of relevant
work experience in a healthcare facility.
·
Experience as Theatre Attendant is an

Motorbike Riders

Job Summary
Loading, transporting and delivery of
all mail/parcels/bulk goods to both internal & external clients in an
efficient, safe and timely manner. Providing excellent customer service and
adhering to assigned duties.
Responsibilities:
·
Ensuring that assigned
vehicle/motorcycle is used for authorized assignments and is mechanically
viable and in good working condition always.
·
Respecting all road users, road
safety and traffic rules and regulations and observe them.
·
Examining the vehicle/motorbike to be
driven and ensuring timely reporting of all maintenance issues to the Support
Services Assistant.
·
Filling in the vehicle/motorbike
check list and hand it over to the Support Services Assistant.
·
Ensuring proper maintenance and care
for the assigned vehicle/motorbike by checking its fuel, engine oil, water,
tyre pressure, clutch, brakes, and steering fluids ATF, lights, side mirrors,
life savers, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, indicators, tool box, and gauges
where applicable.
·
Ensuring cleanliness of the
vehicle/motorbike at all times.
·
Ensuring that the vehicles licenses
are valid and displayed as per the national traffic regulations requirement.
·
Ensuring that any journey(s)
undertaken by the vehicle/motorbike are logged, authorized and official.
·
Ensuring that all staff within the
vehicle/motorbike are authorized and carrying the required capacity.
·
Minimizing the vehicles/motorbikes
running costs by exercising economical driving.
·
Providing services to the required
standards.
·
Record information, such as items
received and delivered.
·
Carrying at all times, a valid
driver’s license and for the class of vehicle being driven.
·
Performing any other duties as may be
assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
·
KCSE Mean Score of C- Minus.

Clean and valid driver’s license
class BCEFG.
·
Must have excellent knowledge and
experience motorbike-riding.

Solid experience in defensive and
offensive driving.

Basic mechanical knowledge of
vehicles.

Well trained in traffic safety and
highway codes.

Well conversant with Nairobi streets,
avenues and residences.

Ability to communicate fluently,

Peri-Operative (Theatre) Nurses

patient/family education and discharge planning customized to the patient and

findings, physical/psychosocial responses to nursing intervention and progress

Initiating emergency resuscitative
measures according to resuscitation, basic and advanced life support protocols.

Critical Care Unit, the successful candidates will be responsible for the

Responsibilities:

Identifying a patient’s specific and
critical needs and adopt a care plans as necessary to meet those needs.
·
Performing approved therapeutic or
diagnostic procedures based on the patient’s clinical status.
·
Advocating for the patient’s and
family’s needs and proving emotional support for both the patient and their
families.

Setting up and monitoring medical
equipment and devices such as cardiac monitors, mechanical ventilators, alarms,
oxygen delivery equipment etc.
·
Providing special therapies i.e.
dialysis, continuous renal replacement therapy, mechanical ventilation and
inotropic support.

Maintaining the Hospitals policies,
standard and procedures of nursing care.

Assistant Engineer (Biomedical)

Job Summary
Reporting to the Hospital Engineer-
Biomedical, the Ass. Engineer Bio-Medical is responsible for ensuring
continuous maintenance and repairs of Bio-Medical equipment to attain expected
efficiency.
Responsibilities:

Ensuring that preventive maintenance
and repairs of bio-medical equipment within the established quality standards
and procedures.
·
Ensuring continuous training of
Bio-medical equipment users and safe machine handling.
·
Ensuring calibration of biomedical
equipment is done in time and documented.
·
Observing and complying with
environmental health and occupational safety measures and regulations.
·
Staff supervision including work
scheduling and execution.
·
Supervising, handling and being in
charge of any works related to various equipment.
·
Performing any other duties as may be
assigned from time to time.
·
Training user department in handling
medical equipment.
·
Evaluating the safety, efficiency and
effectiveness of medical equipment, report and implement recommendations.
·
Identify gaps and risks in biomedical
equipment and share with head of department for execution.

Supervising outpatient centers and
ensuring medical equipment’s are maintained as per hospital standards.
Qualifications
·
Degree in Medical engineering or
equivalent from a recognized institution.
·
Minimum 4 years’ experience, heading
maintenance function in a busy hospitality industry.
·
Demonstrated experience in
Maintenance management.
·
Excellent organizational,
decision-making and planning skills.
·
Good interpersonal and customer
relation skills.
·
Computer literacy skills with
demonstrated knowledge

Biomedical Technologist

Job Summary
Reporting to the Asst. Hospital
Engineer- Biomedical, the Bio-Medical technologist is responsible for ensuring
proper functioning, safety and sound condition of all medical equipment and
that they are in optimum maintenance condition and available for use.
Responsibilities
·
Carry out preventive maintenance,
repairs to ICU, Theatres, Renal, Laboratory, Physical Medicine, wards equipment
and other areas of the Hospital.
·
Carry out preventive maintenance,
repairs to all equipment and items of plant assigned to him from time to time
by the Assistant Hospital Engineer Biomed.
·
Keep records of all job cards, PPM
schedules and tasks as performed.
·
Handle all biomedical equipment job
requests
·
Carry out any other duties assigned
by management from time to time
Qualifications
·
Diploma in Medical Engineering
·
Minimum KSCE grade C
·
Valid membership and practicing
license in relevant field.
·
At least 2 years’ experience in the
same field.
·
Experience in a hospital industry is
an added advantage.
