Reporting
to the CEO, the job holder will provide strategic leadership in financial
management, accounting and investments.
Key Responsibilities
·
Develop and install effective
financial management systems and procedures aimed at improving financial
reporting and accounting;

Ensure timely preparation and
management of corporate budget, submission of periodic reports, cash flow and
debt management;

Undertake resource mobilization to
ensure availability of sufficient funds to finance the business operations;

Coordinate and monitor the Fund’s

Corporation Secretary / Head of Legal Services
Ref. NHIF/CS-HLS/10/2018
Reporting
administratively to the CEO and functionally to the Board, the Corporation
Secretary / Head of Legal Services will be responsible for ensuring the
integrity of the governance framework, NHIF’s compliance with statutory and
regulatory requirements, and implementing decisions made by the board of
directors.
Key Responsibilities
·
Lead, oversee and coordinate effective
board secretarial services;
·
Act as custodian of Corporation Seal
and legal documents;
·
Provide legal advice and ensure
compliance with the applicable legal and regulatory requirements; and
·
Review Corporation’s legal and
regulatory framework to ensure compliance, removal of impediments and security
of members’ contributions.
Person Specifications
·
Be a holder of a Bachelors and a
Masters Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university;

Possess a Diploma ¡n Legal Practice

Be a Certified Public Secretary

Head, Supply Chain Management

Reporting
to the CEO, the job holder will be responsible for overseeing implementation
and delivery of procurement and assets disposal plans in line with Funds’
strategy and provide advise to the accounting officer on all Procurement and
Assets Disposal matters.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate the development and
implementation of procurement plans and budgets;

Coordinate the development of tender
specifications and performance standards:

Co-ordinate disposal of obsolete
machinery, equipment and other salvage goods;

Reporting
to the Head of ICT, the job holder will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing
and upgrading IT systems to support business operations and processes.
Key Responsibilities

Analyse user requirements, develop
and maintain systems to support business operations & processes;

Determine and document user
procedures to inform training requirement;

Facilitate Backups and Disaster
Recovery services to ensure systems availability and business continuity; and.

to the Director Human Resources Management & Administration, the job holder
will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating human resource management
services within the Fund.
Key Responsibilities

Support the development and
implementation of human resources strategic and operations plans ensuring
alignment with best practice;

Participate in review of HR policies
and procedures and overseeing the enforcement of statutory regulations:

Work with line management to build a

Reporting
to the Head of Registration and Compliance, the job holder will be responsible
for developing and executing the Fund’s strategies relating to member
registration, revenue collections, benefits management and claims processing in
the informal sector.
Key Responsibilities

Establish market segments within the
informal sector;

Implement agency model for mobilization
and public education;

Develop and coordinate implementation
of informal sector registration strategies;

Reporting
to the Director Finance and Investments, the job holder will be responsible for
coordinating and monitoring the Fund’s investment of surplus funds and making
recommendations on viable investments.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual
Treasury reports;

Prepare investment proposals based on
the highest return and lowest risk:

Negotiate with financial institutions
for optimal rates of returns on investments;

Initiate and coordinate review of
investment policy; and

Manage assets with respect to
insurance, valuation, depreciation and disposal.

conducting risk analysis used to develop pricing for new and existing products;
and applying actuarial analysis to support cross functional activities.
Key Responsibilities

Establish and integrate risk
management framework in business processes

strategies for risk management

Monitoring of claims experience, loss
ratio and combined ratio

Run and validate the risk based
