Accountant Jobs I – (RI. 9) – POSITIONS – ONE (1)

Responsibilities
·         Collation of financial estimates;
·         Determination of aggregate expenditure;
·         Supervision of the revenue collection processes;
·         Preparation of final accounts and statements;

·         Interpretation of all regulations of the Institute pertaining to financial control and management;

Qualifications

·         Kenya certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a mean grade of at least C+ (Plus) or its equivalent;
·         Bachelor’s degree in any of the following; Commerce (Accounting or Finance option), Business Administration, or their equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
·         Passed part III of Certified Public Accountant (CPA III) examination or its equivalent qualification from recognized institution;
·         Satisfactorily served at the position of Accountant II for minimum of three (3) years in a public sector or equivalent position in the private sector;
·         Have excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills and computer literate.

Chief Supply Chain Management Officer (RI.12) – POSITIONS – ONE (1)

Responsibilities

·         In charge of the Supply chain management function of the Institute;
·         Preparation of professional opinion for the attention of the Director;
·         Efficient performance of the procurement function;
·         Compliance with Public Procurement and Disposal Act and regulations in the procurement process;
·         Preparation of procurement plans in accordance with budget process;
·         Maintenance of procurement and asset disposal records and Asset Register;
·         Undertake periodic stock taking.

Qualifications

·         Kenya certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a mean grade of at least C+ (Plus) or its equivalent;
·         Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following; Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management/Procurement, Economics, Marketing, Law or their equivalent qualification from a recognized University;
·         Master’s Degree in any of the following fields: Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Finance or its equivalent qualification;
·         A registered member of Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) with a valid practicing certificate;
·         Satisfactorily served at the position of Principal Supply Chain Management Officer for minimum of three (3) years in a public sector or equivalent position in the private sector;
·         Post Graduate Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Diploma in Supply Chain Management or its equivalent from a recognized institution;

·         Demonstrate knowledge of Public Procurement Regulations. Meets the requirements of chapter six of the constitution;
·         Have excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills and computer literate.


Chief Internal Auditor (RI.12) 

Responsibilities

·         Responsible to the KMFRI Board of Management through the Board Audit Committee and the Director;
·         Develop and implement effective risk management, internal control and corporate governance framework;
·         Ensure maintenance of high audit standards within the unit and adherence to plans, budgets and work schedules;
·         Ensuring compliance with existing regulations, instructions and procedures in financial and other operations;
·         Verifying and pre-auditing of annual appropriation accounts, statement of assets and liabilities, fund accounts and annual audited statements prepared by Management for submission to the Auditor General;
·         Ensuring accountability and prudent management of resources and assets and ensuring compliance with principles and values of good governance, transparency, accountability, ethics and integrity;
·         Liaise with the Director on matters raised in reference sheets from the office of the Auditor General, carry out investigations and head special audit tasks and prepare annual audit reports/returns;

Qualifications

·         Kenya certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a mean grade of at least C+ (Plus) or its equivalent;
·         Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounting, or Finance) or its recognized equivalent from recognized institution;
·         Master’s Degree in any of the following fields: Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or its equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
·         Certified Public Accountant CPA (K) or its equivalent from recognized institution;
·         A registered member of relevant Professional body;
·         Satisfactorily served at the position of Principal Internal Auditor for minimum of three (3) years in a public sector or equivalent position in the private sector;
·         A holder of Post Graduate Diploma in Internal Audit or CISA-Certified Information System Auditor or Certified Internal Auditor will be an added advantage;
·         Meets the requirements of chapter six of the constitution.
