CARE
International is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the position of Program Support Officer for
the Adaptation Learning Programme (ALP)for Africa’s multi-country
coordination team based in Nairobi.
The
candidate ensures effective operation of all procurement, administrative and
support functions and coordinates correspondence both internally and externally
with the Nairobi based ALP Coordination team, the three ALP country teams in
Ghana, Niger and Kenya and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Support to Programme Management:
Support to Programme Management:
- Support
all procurement and financial administration to ensure the coordination
team work runs smoothly on a day to day basis.
- Prepare
and update project budgets and costed work plans.
- Work
with finance team to manage payments, produce accurate and timely
financial reports.
Administration,
logistics, event planning and coordination:
- Manage
the preparation, communication and logistics for travel and workshops for
ALP teams and external participants.
- Organise
all logistics for events in Kenya and other countries, working with
approved vendors and leading liaison and communication with service
providers and with the ALP teams.
Knowledge
management & communication:
- Support
document design, photo selection, CARE branding, ALP dissemination and
visibility online.
- Package
hard and soft publications for workshop need.
- Manage
information enquiries to ALP, maintain digital Photo library, digital
filling, ALP updated calendar.
Required
skills and qualifications
- Diploma
in Business Administration, Communications, Administration or other
relevant studies
- 4
-5 years of relevant experience in administrative support and information
management in an international development organization
- Knowledge
of online portals, excellent skills in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel,
Power-point. In-design an advantage
- Excellent
English required, French desirable
