Job Description: 

HR Administration
  • Responsible for maintaining and up-dating employee files/records
  • Input and update employee  information on the company HRIS
  • Ensure timely inclusion of employees in the relevant schemes upon employment/confirmation
  • Leave management; ensure real time recording of leave requests by employees
  • Custodian of the employee master file; imputing, cleaning up and updating
  • Preparation of payroll data
  • Attendance reporting on a weekly basis
  • HR onboarding of all new employees and taking the employees through induction processes
  • Coordination and completion of ad hoc HR projects as and when they arise;
  • Preparation of training activities, schedules and materials
Recruitment

  • Assists in the overall recruitment process as guided by the Head of HR
  • Assist in the shortlisting of candidates
  • Schedule, makes calls to invite candidates and conduct screening interviews
  • Ensure all recruitment policies and procedures and techniques are adhered to
  • Managing Applications and CV's of current and potential employees
  • Verifies candidates background by contacting referees
Employee Relations and Welfare
  • Assists the HR Manager in providing guidance on company policies and procedures and in-country legislation to line management and other employees
  • Assists in the  co-ordination of staff welfare initiatives
  • Assist in all employment, compliance and legal matters for the organization
  • All other impromptu requests that may come from time to time
Qualification & Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/ Human Resources Management
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a busy environment (Startup/FMCG company etc)
  • Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management from IHRM is an added advantage
  • Excellent Planning & Organizing/Work Management Skills
  • Experience with HRIS systems. SAGE VIP Payroll added advantage
  • Sound core knowledge of applicable labor legislation in Kenya
