Audit Assistant Job in Kenya

Job Title: Audit Assistant   

Job Main Responsibilities
  • Provide significant help and support to the internal auditor in review the company’s internal controls and procedures.
  • Audit of the payables, payroll and receivables
  • Prepares / participates in preparations for risk-based audit plans / programs.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control procedure in the company.
  • Prepare audit paperwork in accordance with standards and requirements
  • Establish working relationships with company’s staff, business partners and clients
  • Drafts audit reports for entire assignment or portion of assignment.
  • Develops and discusses findings; comes to agreement on recommendations and timelines for corrective actions with responsible officers of operations audited and monitors the implementation status of agreed recommendations.
  • Takes initiative in identifying appropriate audit tools, best practices, and identifies/performs tasks aimed at ensuring that the audit / assignments are conducted in accordance with auditing standards.
  • Performs other projects or tasks as may be assigned.

Required Skills and Qualification
  • Should have adequate computer skills
  • Must have Knowledge on QuickBooks
  • Must have at least two year work experience in a similar industry or a busy audit department.
  • Must have minimum qualification of CPA 2 SECTION 4.
  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to work with deadlines and without close supervision
