Vacancy: Credit  Manager

Location: Nairobi, Kenya

As a result of continued growth and in order to position ourselves to be the leader in energy solutions for Africa, we wish to appoint a qualified individual into the Credit  Manager position. 

Credit  Manager Job Profile
 
Main Purpose of the Job: Reporting to the Group Credit & HR director, the successful candidate will be accountable for the entire credit granting process, including the consistent application of a credit policy, periodic credit reviews of existing customers, and the assessment of the creditworthiness of potential customers, with the goal of optimizing the mix of company sales and bad debt losses

Key responsibilities include:-
  • Ensure collection of outstanding balances and report on debtor’s status.
  • Monitor the credit granting and updating process/
  • Monitor open orders in business partners account.
  • Prepare and circulate daily cash status report.
  • Conduct credit analysis and rating of customers.
  • Validate customers statements
  • Update approved product prices in the system promptly.
  • Maintain the corporate credit policy
  • Recommend changes in the credit policy to senior management
  • Create a credit scoring model
  • Manage customer credit files
  • Accept or reject the staff's credit recommendations
  • Personally investigate the largest customer credit applications
  • Personally visit the largest customers to establish relations
  • Manage the corporate financing program. Liaise with external auditors during their audits to achieve audit objectives.
Knowledge, skills & experience requirements:-
  • University Degree in a Business-Related field;
  • Professional qualification in Finance/Accounting (CPA-K or ACCA)
  • ERP and IT proficiency- Excellent knowledge of accounting packages Experience in SAP ERP system desirable
  • At least 5 years’ experience, three of which a Credit manager in a large organization (Annual turnover of USD 100 million and above);
  • Ability to meet and critical deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of regional tax laws and practice excellent negotiation,
  • Communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Team player and capable of working under pressure

Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Marketing Manager Job Profile

Main Purpose of the Job: Reporting to the Commercial Director, the successful candidate will lead the marketing strategy, research, campaigns and product launches, so as to ultimately create the foundation of positioning ourselves to be the leader in energy solutions for Africa.

Key summary responsibilities include:-
  • Deliver primary and secondary research that helps define market assumptions and consumer behaviors /profiles; research sources may include consumer surveys, focus groups, the internet, industry experts, market intelligence companies and internal knowledge.
  • Develop complete understanding of the factors that go into the revenue and cost side of the business opportunity and provide recommendations to maximize revenue.
  • Support the Commercial Director to develop and maintain product category SWOT analyses; identify market trends, develop and prioritize a profitable product plan to meet consumer needs.
  • Facilitate future-focused product ideation sessions and capture output for continuous design exploration; develop longer term product category/mix roadmaps based on deep and broad consumer profiling.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging across TV, print, radio, digital and social media (Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, etc.) marketing channels.
  • Collaborate with leadership and external agencies to develop key messaging and specific advertising copy/design/packaging for campaigns across marketing channels; including detailed associated budgets.
  • Facilitate legal review of all advertising copy before launch.
  • Contribute to comprehensive testing matrix that accurately assesses delivery and performance of each marketing campaign on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Manage the marketing team to maintain strong relationships with key strategic customers such as large NGOs, government buyers and high potential individual entrepreneurs.
  • Act as a liaison for all external media enquiries or articles, working with the CEO & Commercial Director when necessary to facilitate interviews or other content.
  • Take ownership of projects; plan milestones, timelines, budgets, resources and identify potential risks to deliver supply chain aspects within agreed completion dates.
  • Be proactive regarding task completion and periodically advise wider team on project status, timing, resources, issues, and ability to deliver on-time with excellence.
  • Ensure adherence and compliance to general automotive industry marketing standards and best practices; maintain structured and versioned data outputs daily and backup data weekly.
Knowledge, skills & experience requirements:-
  • Bachelor’s Degree (minimum) in Marketing, Sales, Advertising, Communications, or similar. A Master’s Degree in the same will be preferred.
  • 5 years related experience in marketing, advertising or branding.
  • Experience in oil industry  in Africa will be an added advantage
  • Ability to lead cross-functionally; coordinating, leading and communicating information clearly
  • Results-driven with exceptional detail and knowledge around metrics, specifically A/B testing and ROI analysis.

Vacancy: General Manager - Hashi Energy Kenya Ltd

The position is based in Nairobi.

Main Purpose of the Job:
 Reporting to the Group Operations Director, the successful candidate will lead the execution of approved strategies to ensure that the planned business objectives are met and exceeded while providing leadership and enhancing customer service, brand value, compliance and operational efficiency.

Key summary responsibilities include:-
  1. Develop and implement the HE Business strategy in the line with the mission and vision agreed by the Board of Directors from time to time.
  2. Spearhead Business growth and profitability.
  3. Create, coordinate, and evaluate the financial programmes and supporting information systems of the Group and its subsidiaries to include budgeting, tax planning, and optimization of assets.
  4. Ensure compliance of the business to policies and procedures as approved and also compliance to all country legislation's in operation
  5. Drive business operational efficiency.
  6. Manage all staff reporting to the position so as to effectively train, evaluate, motivate, delegate and monitor their activities
Knowledge, skills & experience requirements:-
  • A degree holder with a professional qualification in oil related field (Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Development or Finance).  MBA qualification will be an added advantage.
  • 6 years’ experience on similar role
  • Strong Strategic Management skills
  • Good communication, interpersonal, leadership and management skills
  • In depth understanding of Oil Marketing and Distribution Risk will be an added advantage.
  • Good understanding of profitability and cost management
