waste collection services.
You will be in charge of managing the company’s sales team for waste collection
services across different geographic and income areas in the Nairobi metro
area.

Key Responsibilities
- Identifying and writing stories on the
company’s work
- Creating content for and managing website,
blogs and social media
- Managing and developing all print and
electronic publications of the company collateral including newsletters
and brochures
- Undertaking quality photography and videos of
the company’s work
- Doing basic design tasks
- Cultivating relationships with the local media
(print, radio, TV) in order to distribute the company’s stories and to
ensure favorable coverage.
Qualification and background
- 1 - 3 years+ experience in communications
- Proof of passion for communications (personal
blog, website, or the like)
- Keen photographer
- Strong competency with graphic design
programs, Word Press blogs and websites
- Excellent writing and communications skills in
English
- Strong relationship building skills
- University degree in PR, Communications,
journalism, media studies or the like

- Managing of on-the-ground sales team across
different geographic and income areas in Nairobi and surroundings
- Leading and building sales team through:
- Regular feedback and coaching
- Development and constant revising of training
and marketing materials
- Design and implementation of Sales KPIs,
process and structure
- Market segmentation and lead development
- Development and follow-ups on controlling
tools
- Recruitment of sales staff
- Development and adjustment of sales strategy
- 90% of time will be spent on managing the
sales team (10% of time will be spent on direct sales)
- Solid reporting line into CEO
Qualification and background
- 5 years+ sales experience:
- 5+ years of sales leadership and management
experience (10 + staff)
- 3+ years of sales experience
- Proven track record in building and managing
of on-the-ground sales teams
- Background in solution selling. Example
segments (‘quality of life services’) include services in facility and
property management, security, hospitality and agriculture.
- Preference given to female candidates in their
thirties and above
- Proven team-building and leadership skills
(i.e. situational leadership)
- Experience in coaching-on-the-job
- Having worked in a start-up to mid-size
organization is regarded an advantage
- University degree
