Our Client is an integrated transit
company located in Mombasa with over 70 trucks.
Due to expansion and growth, they are
looking to fill the position of a Chief
Accountant.
Key responsibilities
Key responsibilities
- Oversee all the accounting processes that
includes; budgeting, cost control, collections, debtors and creditors,
etc.
- Day to day management and running of the
Accounts department.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and legal
requirements, internal and external audits.
- Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting
records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess
accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural
standards.
- Prepare reports for management meetings for
high level decision making.
- Develop, implement, modify, and document
record keeping and accounting systems, making use of the TALLY system.
Desired Education Background,
Experience, Competencies and Skills;
- We are only considering Kenyans of Asian /
Indian origin.
- A relevant University degree.
- Professional Post-Graduate training in
Accounts.
- Knowledge of the TALLY system is a must.
- Excellent communication skills.
- At least 5 years’ working experience and 3
years’ experience in a transport company or equivalent field.
