1. Program Management Support
- Support all M&E initiatives for assigned
grant(s)/project(s) including monitoring data quality, tracking the
progress of activities, and contributing to staff capacity building
initiatives as necessary.
- In Liaison with the field teams, hold regular
review meetings to assess the progress against the set targets and advice
the supervisor and the management with recommendations on the progress as
per internal policies, donor regulations and the project timelines
2. System Development
- Lead in creating a framework and procedures
for the monitoring and evaluation of project activities.
- Support the Program Managers in defining and
implementing the key project performance indicators (KPI) as well as
monitoring them throughout the duration of the projects.
- Support project/program staff on ways to
properly document, organize and capture program progress.
- Support nutrition managers in reviewing the
performance of existing management Information systems to help identify
potential modifications or resources.
- Data analysis and Information Management
- Keep abreast of developments in grant/program
changes and progress in order to advise and recommend tools and strategies
to increase program performances and results.
- Perform regular field visits to ensure the
quality of data collected by Programs and to verify the accuracy of
reported data.
- Analyze changes and patterns in KPI indicator
data and performance reports in order to support Program staff
- Lead in undertaking Nutrition surveys and
assessments
- Ensures that verifiable, quantitative data
analysis is shared with relevant stakeholders to inform program design and
review
3. Communication, Documentation and
Reporting
- Support National Nutrition Manager and field
program managers in reviewing donor reports to ensure high quality reports
are submitted on time as per grant requirements
- Assist national manager in establishing
log frames, M&E work plans, and targets during the drafting donor
project proposals as well as throughout project implementation
- Review and analyze weekly reports with the
program managers to identify the causes of potential bottlenecks in
project implementation and to enhance quality of reporting.
- Seeks opportunities for information sharing
and learning exchanges with local actors/INGOs to promote coordination at
local and national level
- Lead other program staffs in documentation of
best practices, success stories and Lessons learnt from operations
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong back ground in community nutrition with
a minimum of 2 years of assessment.
- Minimum academic qualification of a degree in
Nutrition/health related field with specialization in M&E.
- Masters in similar field is an added
advantage.
- Experienced in representing former/current
organization at national and regional level
- Excellent team building/working skills, strong
personal and interpersonal skills with demonstrated leadership and
supervisory excellence
- Strong Analytical skills with prowess in
SMART, ENA, EPI info, SPSS, SQUEAC/SLEEK, LQAS, etc.
- Good field work skills with good understanding
of organization’s project area.
Program Assistant – Nutrition Nairobi

- Provide assistance in nutrition projects
planning and implementation, and management.
- Represent IMC in national forums, provide
feedback and support in follow-up of actions
- Maintain effective working relationships with
all stakeholders and IMC partners, including MOH, NGOs, and UN agencies.
- Support in reviewing program progress reports,
funding proposals and documentation on best practices and lessons learnt
within agreed timelines.
- Establish internal databases; sets up files
(electronic and paper), stores and manages data and information relevant
to the scope of programme/project activities.
- Work with other departments’ e.g. HR and
admin, finance and logistics to enhance program support
- Assist in the monitoring and evaluation of
programme/projects;
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Must have a Minimum qualification of BSc in
nutrition, proven technical and administrative skills
- Registered with the relevant professional body
e.g KNDI.
- At least one year working with NGOs in complex
emergency context.
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience working in
emergency nutrition program in a limited resource setting.
- Strong negotiation and representational
skills.
- Excellent team building, interpersonal and
communication skills.
- Computer literate
- Flexible for Frequent travel to the field
Nutrition Officer - Samburu and Tana River
Scope of Work – Essential Duties
Scope of Work – Essential Duties
- Provide technical support to Ministry of
health in the implementation of High impact Nutrition interventions
including MNP in the health facilities.
- Provide Regular feedback from Key persons ,
including partners , residents and Vulnerable groups on program activities
- Support on Job training of Ministry of health
facility staff on all aspects of High impact Nutrition interventions.
- Liaise with the health facilities and
community health workers to monitor HiNi and MNP activities
- Supporting MOH to strengthen planning,
Advocacy, M&E, and logistic systems with regards to nutrition
activities.
- Assist in monitoring the nutrition situation
in the Counties, including participating in nutrition assessment and
surveillance as required.
- Support bi-weekly assessments and nutrition
surveillance at the facility level.
- Conduct in conjunction with the CHMT on Job
training on HiNi indicators at the facility level.
- Support the CNO in writing monthly reports
capturing the HiNi indicators.
- Support proper implementation of IMAM , IYCF,
MNP activities at the health facility level
- Provide written reports and participates in
programme reviews, evaluation and other programme documentation
Qualifications and Experience

Nutrition Capacity Development Officer - Nairobi
Scope of Work – Essential Duties
Scope of Work – Essential Duties
- Provide coordination and technical support in
finalization, dissemination and Launch of the draft nutrition capacity
development framework both at the national and county levels
- Provide technical and coordination role to
strategically roll-out of Capacity Development Framework implementation
plan
- Representation of IMC at the MoH human
resource working group and other health and nutrition capacity building
and training related forums
- Documentation of lessons learned, best
practices and results regarding nutrition capacity development in the
country
- Conduct IMC internal capacities in nutrition
and develop strategies to address nutrition gaps within the organization.
- Ensures effective communication and networking
is developed and maintained through partnership and collaboration, with
particular emphasis on understanding nutrition capacity development
challenges and needs and on mainstreaming capacity development in
programme design and implementation where relevant.
- Actively engage in other stakeholders’
nutrition capacity development activities and ensure their plans are
inline with sector capacity development strategies;
- Actively participate in resource mobilization
for capacity development in nutrition
Qualifications and Experience
- Graduate degree in nutrition or public health.
- At least 5 years’ experience in field work and
coordination with international agencies and organization in the field of
nutrition
- Good knowledge of the Ministry of Health
including nutrition sector coordination structures.
- Knowledge of nutrition and health policies,
strategies and guidelines
- Experience in provision of training is an advantage
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to work with many different functions from high level
decision makers to technical specialists to nutrition experts and program
managers
- Able to manage and work in or with a
multidisciplinary team of nutrition practitioners
- Must be able to work in respect of deadlines
- Fluency in English is required.
