Financial Accountant

Salary: Ksh 80,000- 120,000 Gross
Our client
is a multinational engineering company specialized in electricity.
They seek
to hire an experienced and brilliant Accountant to lead their accounts function
Duties and responsibilities
- Overseeing the accounting function including: budgeting, cash flow management, payroll, reporting, records management, financial variance and accounts analysis
- Financial reporting and cost analysis
- Declaring on a regular basis the company’s financial position
- Well informed with imports handling
- Ensuring compliance with various legal requirements regarding licenses, rates, labor laws and tax returns
- Facilitating annual external audits; all these, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
- Managing the accounting department
- Assisting in the development and adherence of current and long-term organizational goals and objectives as well as policies and procedures for the organization
- Monitoring Balance sheet and Income Statement account movements and ensuring that they reflect the correct balances and all relevant account reconciliations are performed and corrective actions taken in time
- Preparation of requisite schedules for the annual audit
- Maintenance of the fixed asset registers
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor degree in Business especially Accounting or Finance
- Must be ACCA graduate or CPA(K)
- Experience in industrial/ manufacturing companies is a plus
- Minimum of 6 years experience in accounting with a brilliant track record
- Exposure to International Financial Reporting Standards
- Is a person of attested integrity, with high degree of stewardship of resources
- Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
- Result oriented, self-motivated and energetic.
- Computer literacy and good knowledge of diverse accounting packages
- Good communication and presentation skills at a senior level
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Should be a team player
- Provision of accounting support to other Functional Units
