A well-established company operating one of the most efficient thermal power plant in Kenya located in the coastal region is seeking to recruit an experienced Electrical Fitter in the Maintenance department.
A well-established company operating one of the most efficient thermal power plant in Kenya located in the coastal region is seeking to recruit an experienced Electrical Fitter in the Maintenance department.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out
predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance work on all electrical
equipment at the power plant.
- Logging of all electrical
maintenance activities to AMOS (Administration, Maintenance, Operation and
Stock) computer based maintenance system.
- Competently
carry out planned electrical inspections all around the plant using
specialised vibration tools and infrared thermography camera.
- Comply with work
permit and Lock Out system before commencement of work, and ensure proper
permit close-out after work completion.
- Adhere to all
safety and health procedures, policies and practices as stipulated by
Management.
- Readily available
for standby duty after normal working hours.
Qualifications
- HND in
Electrical Engineering with minimum 3 years work experience in power plant
or related energy sector.
- Diploma in
Electrical Engineering with at least 4 years experience in power plant or related
energy sector.
- Practical
experience with Power Plant installation and maintenance preferably diesel
engines.
- Authorisation
access to High Voltage Switchyard by KPLC will be added advantage.
- Hands-on
experiences in field-instrumentation and PLCs.
- Experience in
the MS-Office and computerized maintenance programs.
- Good supervisory
and communication skills.
